I'm charging a purple EFEST IMR battery in an xtar LI-ION battery charger and I wanted to make sure Efest IMR purple is actually covered under LI-ION charging.. I can upload pictures in a second but I've been charging the battery for about an hour and this is my first electrical mod so I am trying to make sure, thank you. It says it is for rechargeable Li-ion batteries only but so far the battery is not hot or any problems

Here are the pictures, I hope it's ok.. battery seems fine so far. From what I gathered online so far the charger will work fine, any further suggestions are welcomed.

Yes you are good to go You Made a good choice in Chargers that charger can recover your battery if you over discharge and it shuts off when the battery reaches full charge.

I would research that battery if you plan on sub ohming in a mechanical mod with it. Efest amp limits can be misleading Im not sure what that battery is rated at but the 35 amps is pulse not continues. Its a legit battery you just need to know what the actual amp limit is to use it safely to use it in a unregulated mod if you push it any,

The charger is good for 3.7V cells. IMR is Li-Ion, the "I" stands for "Ion". The "M" stands for "Manganese" and the "R" means it's "Round". It's a "safer" chemistry than the more traditional (lower current) Li-Ion, known as ICR, where the "C" stands for "Cobalt", which can also be charged on that charger as well.

The 3.2V cells, such as LiFePoO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) are the ones to look out for. Regards.
