battery okay to use?

so left a few batteries in the car today and it got super hot outside.. anyways... the red shrink wrap on my batteries cracked on some. I was wondering if they are still okay to use?... do i need to re-wrap with something? etc... or do i need to dispose of them? i'm fairly sure they are in good condition otherwise...

Unless you re-wrap them, garbage is where they belong

batteries are NEVER worth the chance, throw away get more. They're not that expensive.

im sure its just the shrink wrap that got ruined,but then again if it got hot enough to make that wrap shrink that much who knows what it did to the chemistry of the battery,another vote for tossing them,better safe then sorry.

Can I jump in for a similar question? I don't have cracking wrap, but instead I scratch it, a tiny scratch while putting it into the nitecore charger. You know, the nitecore charger is hard to push on the pin. I was concern but the housing is negative anyway, isn't it?

Yes, the entire outer housing is negative.
