Hello,

I have an EgoT - Variable Voltage - Passthrough. not sure any other info on it.
I have a steam cyclone. newer then the battery is. been working great for.. weeks maybe month or 2.

I was vaping normally. I noticed the blue light just fadded out and I couldnt vape any more. I thought to myself that was strange. normally the light will blink rapidly 5ish times to say it is dead and needs recharge. I have raely vapped to see this occure. regualr using the pass through feature.

I then go to plug it in normally and the now red light stays lit as if the pen is vaping on its own. I said thats not normal and removed the cyclone. it was not vaping

Let it charge or so I though. The red light at the top lights up when I screw in the cyclone. and try to vape. I unscrew it and it blinks 5 times and quits. if I remove the cyclone and flip through the volts evey things works as expected. red goes to purple. then to blue, then back to red. but when I try to work the cyclone I get a red error light almost as if its telling me the cyclone is bad?

Trying to fix my situation or at least know which 15$ part to order as its the weekend and need to get an order in to be shipped by monday. no local vape shops here.

Also, as it chares, the red light at the bottom blinks oddly fast and low. I test the battery and the charge light burns brighter as if charging occurs, but then reverts to the low fast blink afterward.

thanks for any tips or hints. dont want to smoke real cigarrettes if i can fix it.

Most likely, the chip in your ego is spent. It happens. My suggestion would be to go on ebay & order a itaste MVP 2.0. $37.90 including shipping out of Georgia. The MVP will last 2 days on a charge, VV/VW, Ohm meter built in, pass thru charger & rock dependable. This house has 4 of them. If you don't have a back up I would suggest you get one, we have many. The MVP will also charge an ego or a phone. Hope this halps. JMHO :):vapor:

Originally started vapeing on EGO's and Vision spinners. Found that the quality and battery life on some can be hit and miss. Some I'd get through most of the day before they died. Some a few hours. They seem to not like being dropped too. Had them roll off a table and on to the floor which may be the cause of damage.

Eventually gave in and got a Vamo V3 so that I could use replaceable batteries and have been happier with the vape quality and battery life. Currently have moved to just mechanical and am quite happy with just battery power.
