Did not know when I got my 510 that my day would be full of charging to keep vaping. Too easy to get stuck with a dead battery and no vape which makes the transition from analogs hard. Read about the heavy duty battery mods like the Silver Bullet, V2 and spark plug. Which one is the slimest and strongest in battery life?

Thanks!

Hi mrtuna,

I can't advise you about mods or heavy-duty batteries, I'm still pretty new and fully stocked with 510s. I can tell you that I agree regarding the short battery life on these 510s. What I've ended up doing is using a PCC when I'm out, and the PCC plus 2 batteries always plugged into chargers when I'm home. That gives me 3 batteries always ready and one to vape on.

I end up swapping out the battery before it's totally dead. It's become reflex to swap it out frequently. I've been wondering about alternatives as well because it would be nice having a long lasting battery that doesn't reduce performance so quickly.

Hi Capt Jay! I've been seriously considering a PT, but I keep reading the debates about which one sucks, which one is great... etc. I'm always tied to my laptop, but it's always plugged in, not on battery power. I think once I figure out which PT would be the best I am going to take the plunge and buy it.

Which one do you use? It really would solve the "frequent swapping" thing - although, it's become habit and really not that big of a deal to me either.

As long as the USB delivers 1 or 2 amps, it will work. Less than one amp and it won't.

A PCC is cheaper than a big-battery mod.

As far as the big mods go, battery life depends mostly on the type of battery they use. The 18650 battery is a monster that will last you all day (and then some). My first 18650 compatible mod was a Silver Bullet, and it's built like a tank. I loved it, but tragically it was stolen from me by my wife. I now use a GGT, which can use most of the batteries commonly used for mods. It's smaller and lighter than the SB, and I love it even more.
