First off you want the "hot spring" in your SB. it is copper in color, and it acts like a fuse.
Don't for the life of me know why on earth you would want to use 123 bats in it tho', that is so 2009. Two sets of bats is about as much as getting a Kick for it, but with the Kick you would get regulated voltage, safety feaures, and adjustibility for about the same price.

i know right kinda late to the party with the 123 batteries. My silver bullet has been sitting for awhile now and just decided to make it into a 6v mod because i never tried 6v. The kick looks ok but doesn't look like it will last very long and its kind of expensive.

Just understand that stacking bats in an unprotected mod account for 99% of all blown up PV's.
    Why not vape safely?

I was just thinking about taking this dripping atty off my SB and sticking on a carto tank with some Buttered popcorn in it. Don't have to change a thing in the SB, even tho' that is a change from a 3ohm atty to a 2 ohm carto. The kick just adjusts the voltage for me so that I keep on truckin at 7.5 watts. Kinda nice!

Get an extension to put the kick in, and there is no reason that it won't last. The extensin is also about the same price as two good 18500 IMR bats, so it is a no brainer.

i do vape safe and trust me thats the last thing i want is a mod blowing up in my face. I have never put a battery in a mod or charger that wasn't for its purpose including my silver bullet. Ill just check out the kick i suppose. thanks for your help =)
