ok so marrying batteries... I know that this is important, but say I have 2 batteries bought and initially charged at different times... However, I did not discharge either of them yet... can they be married? or is this unsafe? LG Hg2 batteries... like can I discharge them together for the first time even though they weren't charged together initially... and then keep them married after the initial discharge... hope this makes sense :)

also, I don't remember if I charged them (initially) at the same amp :/

Both brand new, charged once, and then never used? Make sure they are charged to the same level (they may have discharged a few points while sitting, depending on how long you've had them, maybe put them back on the charger for a bit to top them off and even them up) and you should be good to go.

Yes, they can be married. Any dedicated pair of batteries is considered married. The more identical the pair the better the marriage is for both batteries and performance. Marrying a crappy battery to a good battery can reduce the life of the good battery and not do anything to help the crappy battery.
