I have a GGTS v1 with both an AFS2 and AVS. It work greats with 18650 or 17670 3.7 volt batteries for lower voltage vaping. However, when I try to stack 2 shorter batteries to vape at 6 volts or higher the batteries quit working after a very short period of time. When checked on a multimeter the bottom most battery is always drained below 2 volts while the topmost battery measures over 3 volts. The types I've tried with this problem are Tenergy RCR123A 3.0v 750mAh LiFePo4 and AW Black IRC123 3.7v 750mAh.

Could someone who successfully uses two batteries for the higher voltages please tell me exactly what size and brand of batteries I should buy to avoid this problem? I really like the higher voltage in the evening but it's annoying to have to swap out batteries every 1/2 hour or so.

Thanks

The Tenergy ones you have are all I use for 6 volt vaping........they work fine for me and most others. Maybe the batteries are just bad? They easily last me 3-4 hours. I was getting intermittent firing though due to the GGTS "spring and post" putting a divot in the end of the battery. This caused the battery to not connect properly. I solved this by putting a small magnet on the end of each of my Tenergy's and problem solved. Do your Tenergy's have a divot in the end?

If you're looking for magnets, Vaporkings sells them here One 5/16" x 1/32" neodymium disc magnet but they're out of stock presently. Take a look around other vendors for in stock magnets. COV has them here for $1.25 a piece http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/index....keyword=magnet&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1 and here http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/index....category_id=33&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

I'm not a battery expert for sure..but from what i've read here and on the flashlight forums, you should always keep your batteries in pairs and use them and charge them in pairs. I've got mine marked with a marker so I know which ones pair up. They've always drained together and recharge together...might just be a bad battery or a mismatched pair?

I would suggest the same thing wolf did. I had the same issue with my first few sets of Tenergy batts. I got them mixed up and not with their pair. If you have one batt that is a little newer or less used than the other one will work harder then the other to keep up. Always mark them and keep them in pairs, charging them at the same time...

Thanks for the replies. My batteries are definitely mismatched so the answer, I hope, may be as simple as buying new ones and marking them so I can keep the pairs matched up. I'll get the ones that HoPeFuLL suggested just to be safe. One of the great things about the GGTS is that I can try out so many different kinds of batteries--but then you all already know that.

The charger I use for the Tenergy RCR123A 3.0v 750mAh LiFePo4 batteries says "Tenergy LifePO4 RCR123A Charger" on the front of it and looks like the same one you sell on your site. I remove the batteries from it when the light turns green and they usually show 3.3 volts (sometimes up to 3.5v) on my multimeter after charging but after 30-60 minutes of vaping my GGTS goes dead. At that time the bottom battery reads under 2 volts and the top one still reads 3.2 - 3.3. I have eight of these batteries and this always happens with them regardless of which two I pair up to use. The batteries are about a year old, however they were never used until this week. I'll try again with new batteries and keep them paired to the same mates. Thanks again for all the help.
