Until the "red" AW IMR 14500 batteries are back in stock from any of the suppliers, is this battery safe to use for my mini? I've read all I can find in the forums about this and am still unsure. What is concerning me is whether or not the 900 mAh is going to run any risk of harm to either me or the mini (versus using a 600 mAh battery as is typical with the red AW IMR batteries). I should add that I normally use a standard resistance carto but occasionally will use a LR carto for certain juices as well.

To BigDaddyHarley..thanks for your reply! If I had been a bit smarter, I would have searched for and ordered a couple of 750 mAh batteries, but grabbed these 900 mAh batteries without thinking and they're already on order. Just want to make sure whether or not they'll be safe to use....

they will work, but if you are using LR attys, keep an eye on them. Also, those with pcb protection some times trip and stop working and need to be taken out and put back in. also, the LR attys put a lot of stress on battery.
these are better, but not as good as the IMR

Based upon available information, the IMRs are safer...however, I used these batteries for 6 months before I got the AW 750mah and the AW IMRs 14500 and had no problems at all, with the exception that they didn't perform as well. I haven't heard of any venting or causing damage to the mod or user since I started vaping with them. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened...it just means I've not heard or read about it yet. Just be vigilent, test your batteries coming off the charger, use common sense...if you damage them, throw them away. And then buy some IMRs when they are again in stock. :) Just my 2cents
