Battery question

I ordered a box mod that uses 2 14500 button top batteries. The batteries aren't stacked, it is a AAA battery box and they go beside each other. It came with trustfire batterys. If I want to try AW IMR batteries do I need to get the button top in them? Will the battery charger I got with these batteries work on the AW's?

Depends on your Charger.

My Trustfire TR-001 Charger will Charge Flat Tops but my No-Name Clone Doesn't.

My theory is if Everything works with with Button Tops, Stay with Button Tops.

AW IMR 14500 batteries have a button top. If you receive some that don't, send them back because they are counterfeit. You don't mention what charger you have, but I'd be really surprised if there was any reason it wouldn't work.

Not speaking for the OP but my El-Cheapo No-Name charger doesn't have a "Bump" on the charging contacts. And my Flat Tops Outer Shrink Wrap is higher than the Battery Contacts. So without using small magnets, the battery doesn't make contact with the charger.

No problems on my TR-001 Charger.

Yes. I understand. AW doesn't make a flat top battery. Every AW has a button top. If anyone has a battery that was marketed and sold as AW but is a flat top, they have received a counterfeit.

This isn't Exactly True.

AW doesn't make any IMR Flat Tops (that I know of) but they do make a few 18650 Protected (IC ?) batteries that are Flat Tops.

You're right. The 2600 is a flat top.

The 14500s IC Li-on and IMR are button tops. My 14500 IC are in my VVPV right now, but they have the same button top as the 14500 IMR.
