Howdy folks,
Since I ordered my 650 twists today, I got to thinking. Now that the smell of burning brain cells has gone away, figured I'd ask before I forgot.

Ya know, on some batteries on all our battery powered devices, to assist in the longevity of the battery they tell us to fully charge the battery and fully discharge the battery before recharging because batteries have a memory. Is it the same with our batteries? Should we fully discharge them before recharging?

Thanks,
Big Mac

The above posts are spot-on. According to someone who specialized on the topic, it *does* seem to be best to not leave Litium batteries on a charger any longer than they need to be... And don't let them drain all the way before charging them-although, on your Twists, that won't be an issue because they'll quit before they get too low.

Also, Welcome! Norcal in the House...

j4mmin42 is correct! As with any Lithium batteries, don't let them drain all the way down. That will wear out the battery cells and in the long run your battery won't last very long.

What the other said and it appears you can't quick charge a LIon battery. Use to be a ham radio operator with lots of Nicad's and LIon beat them on lifespan in my little experience. You don't want to drain any rechargeable down to dead. That I know. Don't know if the old rule of a battery having so many times you can cycle charge/discharge still applies but I bet it does. Has to be some kind of limit.
