I just ordered my Vamo from fastech, and I didn't get the kit, I wanted a different battery than they supply with the kit, so I went looking and found this 3400 MaH battery, a two pack of them for a good price, and its' under 70mm long so it should fit in my Vamo, but it has a max voltage of 4.25 volts, which I take to mean I'm not going to be able to use it at any voltage higher than that in my Vamo.

I shouldn't really need more voltage than that, but will it work okay in my Vamo?

Sitting down, facing forward.
The Vamo will also accept a stack of 18350 batteries for a total of 8.4 volts coming off the charger so 4.2 isn't anything to be worried about. Current capacity, mah, is the key and the more the better, but stick to "good", known battery brands like Panasonic, AW or Efest. There is a specific Vamo thread here with a loooooong discussion about batteries and battery life/use.

Here's some better data about those batteries. They should be fine in your Vamo, they are unprotected. Vamo can have issues using protected batteries as it has it's own internal protection.

They are fine in your vamo. They are not recommended in mechanicals due to their low"ish" amp limit 6.4A

These apparently aren't high drain IMR's either? IMR's are generally Li-Mn chemistry. Wouldn't you want high drain batteries for a variable voltage/wattage APV?

Also, it is wise to invest in a well rated charger and very well rated batteries.

I prefer AW Brand as they have been a mainstay in this community for years due to their fine reputation and high ratings. IMR's are recommended for VV/VW devices.

I also love my Pila Charger which has been going strong for over 2 years.
