are there any different between efect red color 18500 battery and new efect purple color 18500 battery?

Depending on what you read... the "red" 18490/500 (1100 mAh) have a max continuous discharge of 8.8 to 10 amps. The "purple" 18500 (1000 mAh) are rated at 15 amps.
As the Chinese mfgs. can be fond of exaggerated performance claims, I'd be conservative about either, and assume 10% less for a max continuous drain.
