Battery Question

Hello, I am just wondering after reading some posts on some of the other forums ,When is the best time to change the
battery in my provari ? I have read that 3.5 is the lowest or sjould I wait fot it to start blinkingthank you

When it blinks is what I go by.

From what I understand, the Provaris have an over discharge shut off, so I would second the waiting until it blinks!

If the blinking becomes annoying and you don't have a spare ready to go, you can unscrew the battery cap and retighten it and it will stop blinking for a while.

Me, three. I wait for the blink. Except that I do pop in a fresh battery to leave for the day - even if the one in there has only been a couple hours...

High drain batteries(which you should be using) can handle being discharged down to about 2.5v without permanent damage. The Provari will cut off somewhere between 3.2v and 3.5v, so yea... When it blinks.

Has anyone else found the blink notifier to be a bit erratic on when it kicks in? I use my Mini 2.5 in 350 mode a fair amount, and I've seen the low battery blink kick on at 3.4v, and the next go around I'll go to CB, only to see a 3.2v reading and no alert showing.

Is there some normal inconsistency in when they flag low battery voltage?

Not sure on the low battery blinking... I just use mine til it stops firing and has fast blinking...

I always keep a spare battery handy though... I would suggest everyone to have a spare battery In a protective case, of course!
