Battery question

First off sorry if this is in the wrong place
the question i have is , I just picked up an extra battery at a local shop that they told me was a vtc3 30 amp battery , when i looked close at home it is a vc3 1900 mah

I have read nothing on this battery dose any one know any thing about the specs of the vc3

Sony US18650VTC3 1600mAh 30A. The only pic I have without downloading a new one is this:



I don't know about a 1900mah Sony. Will have to do a little research on that.

Are you sure if I remember correctly the vtc3 was 1600mah so I believe that battery is not 30amp

He specifically says the battery is marked vc3.

There does not appear to be much on this battery except on China websites. Here is this: Vaporworld. However they post this note:

*Note* All of our batteries are purchased from Efest, which is a reputable supplier of E-cigarette batteries.
THese batteries are non verified authentics that were not purchased from Sony.

Thanks Susan thats about all i could come up with too . i think i am going to take this one back where i got it and tell them to stop telling people it is a vtc it could end up causing some of there customers problems if they think it is a 30 amp battery and isn't

I suspect it is a Sony US18650VC3 and rated 1900 to 2000 mAh and 18 to 20 continuous amps depending on who is selling it.

Thanks again i have been to badaditudes blog and thought i was getting a good battery when the store owner told me they were vtc3s .
Well live and learn im pretty sure they will take this one back i just hope they stop calling them vtc's

On mine, if you look REALLY closely under bright lighting, you can see SE US18650VTC3 printed under the wrapper on the metal of the battery itself. Not sure if that helps. I BELIEVE mine is real, it performs admirably with anything I throw at it.

Do a search on the part number US18650VC3 it will give numerous results. I tend to ignore the Alibaba type results but you'll see many others.

That was my guess as well here is a FT link that lists them as 2150 10 amp

But also understand that most of the "relabeled ______" are not proven, only theorized.

Thanks for the link fictitious character i am going to return this battery i thought i was getting a 30 amp not that i nead a 30 for my builds but definitly want more then 10

Now I'm wondering if the store owner got ripped off or if he is just trying to ripp others off by calling them vtc's ..
It is my fault for not looking them over good befor i payed but i believed the guy , again live and learn.
