If a person had a couple of new batteries, say Sony VTC5's, and wasn't going to use them for 5 or 6 months or more, how should they be stored? Fully charged? And would battery life be shorter after said time, and a person started using them? Thanks in advance.

For long term storage it is best not to have them fully charged (down around 3.7 volts is right around half-charged and where you should probably shoot for). Storage temperature can also be a consideration in the long term
