So, today i got the Baby kit and a 18650 battery, when i put the battery in it wouldnt close with the battery in and i couldnt get the battery out, i really dont know what to do to get it out!
it was used but it looked in perfect condition, i don't know what it was apart from it being a rechargeable 18650 batteryNo ideas here. If it were me, I'd return the kit to whoever sold it to you.
Just curious. What battery did you use specifically? Was it new or used?
It was used from a flashlight, but idk what the battery was apart from it being a 18650 rechargeable battery, i will probably try to get a replacementNo ideas here. If it were me, I'd return the kit to whoever sold it to you.

There is no shops im my surrounding area soi will try to get a replacementI would probably return the items as well, I'd imagine there might be lubricants that are safe and some potential method of trying to get it out.... But, I wouldn't want to have that experience my first time using it.
The reason your battery is important is some batteries are slightly larger than others and it could potentially be a rewrap which would not be ideal. It's rare though, for a battery that is on the approved vendor list for that to happen... Either there is something blocking your battery from sliding in the way it should, or it's a surprisingly different kind of battery than an 1850 to be so large you can't close the door of the mod.
So, it could be a problem battery, mod, or both. If you want to see if it's retrievable at all, I might consider traveling to a reputable vape store and see if they can help at all with this problem. If you bought the battery and the mod from one, go back and warranty your purchase.
Best of luck,
Anna
That more than likely was the wrong chemistry battery to be used in a mod. Flashlight 18650 batteries are usually ICR batteries, or some other chemistry not ideal for mod use.It was used from a flashlight, but idk what the battery was apart from it being a 18650 rechargeable battery, i will probably try to get a replacement
Thanks man, didn't know that, will buy an IMR or INR battery when i get a replacement! That more than likely was the wrong chemistry battery to be used in a mod. Flashlight 18650 batteries are usually ICR batteries.
Vape mods require IMR or INR chemistry batteries. Bone up your knowledge on batteries before you make your next purchase.

i sent an email to the guy i bought it from so hope for the best, if i can't get a refund or replacement the i will try to get it out somehowTo be honest, if you send a mod in with the wrong kind of battery stuck in it, I'm not sure that they will honor the warranty. I'm pretty sure that they are going to call that user error.
THAT DOES NOT MEAN try to take it out yourself, BTW. Please don't. Perhaps you have a friend with more experience with e-cigs? If you do, perhaps that person could help you? Although I wouldn't personally want to do much with that myself....
I'd contact who you bought it from and ask for some advice, maybe they will be willing to try and dislodge whatever it is you have that's stuck in there, possibly, but before going through shipping it and etc., it would be wise (JMO) to perhaps do some emailing about your situation....
I'm really sorry this happened, but I am very glad you found ECF.

there is a electronic shop close to me, ill try this tomorrowUm.... Do you have any machine/electronics/harbor freights/even HomeDepots in your location? In case they will not warranty, I would strongly ADVISE seeking the help of someone near you that has experience with those types of batteries/electronics generally. Heck, even a computer repair store, SOMETHING??
I just really, really really think that it's a bad idea to try and get it out "somehow" yourself. Think creatively if they won't warranty and take it to someone who understands electronics/batteries... It would probably be like a $5 fix, but they probably have tools and knowledge that you do NOT.
I just.... These batteries are nothing to play around with. Please seek the assistance of someone knowledgeable and willing to do it, even if it takes some calling around/research.
It is NOT worth getting your hand blown off over a $30 hell, even $350 dollar mod. Think it over.

Do you think ii could open up the mod from the other side (where the 510 pin connector is)?Um.... Do you have any machine/electronics/harbor freights/even HomeDepots in your location? I'm sorry for your misfortune, but I believe you have just learned an expensive but invaluable lesson. Your new mod is most likely irreparable. I certainly would be reluctant to try to remove that battery myself. Thanks man, didn't know that, will buy an IMR or INR battery when i get a replacement!
My guess would be no. Although there are a couple of screws that could be removed, the electrical components, primarily the chip set, screen, and soldered wiring, probably can't be removed without major damage. They are likely there to replace the 510 connector.Do you think ii could open up the mod from the other side (where the 510 pin connector is)?
100% GENUINE SAMSUNG 25R 18650 2500mAh 20 35A INRIMR RECHARGABLE Vape BATTERIES | eBay so this would be fine right?I'm sorry for your misfortune, but I believe you have just learned an expensive but invaluable lesson. If you are going to be buying a new mod online, you might as well order a couple of proper batteries for it as well. Here are a few battery suppliers that I highly recommend selling authentic brand name batteries:
And to make things simple, I recommend the following batteries. Pay attention to manufacturer and model numbers:
30W-60W:
LG 18650HG2 3000mah 20 amp CDR30W - 75W:
Samsung 18650 30Q, 3000 mah 20 amp CDR
Samsung 18650-25R, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18659VTC6 3000mAh 20A CDR
Sony 18650VTC5, 2600 mah 20 amp CDR
AW 18650 3000 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC5A, 2500 mah 25 amp CDR60W or higher:
LG18650HB6 1500mah 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB2 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB4 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
How many watts do you believe you will be vaping at? A 20 amp single 18650 battery is likely good up to 60 watts. If you believe you will be vaping higher than that, you probably need a 30 amp battery.I use a 75 watt mod. I use the Samsung 30Q and LG HG2 batteries. My usual vaping range is 30 - 40 watts.
no i haven't attempted anything yet, i won't, i am gonna try to get a replacement or a refund and if i can't i will order a new one including a new battery, and i live in the UK so idk how much it will cost to ship this to you anyway, Thanks !Please don't try to do anything to it yourself. You do understand that batteries can blow up? You've got the wrong type of battery wedged somehow inside a gut full of electronics and METAL. I'm with Batitude on this one. If you can't find an electronics expert to help you, then TOSS the thing, chalk it up to "Life happens" and get another mod.
It isn't worth the risk, it genuinely isn't. If it makes you feel any better, I have purchased the odd item that WASN'T a good vape for me and have given them away. Absolutely nothing WRONG with that, I was learning. BUT it's important to know that learning how to vape is a PROCESS, and that involves ERROR.
Heck, if you can't find someone to help you with it, PM me. I will find something similar (as best I can) in my Vape closet somewhere (maybe something with an internal battery that's easy to operate, in fact I can think of something I haven't even USED yet) just PLEASE, if you can't repair it, recycle it. Seriously, try for the electronics expert or repair person, and if it doesn't work out, PM me and I will offer you some options, merry Christmas and all that, I will ship it to your DOOR, I value YOUR hands that much.
Please don't have at it. Try to fix, and if you can't, PM me and we can figure out something to fit your needs....
Anna
