Battery Suggestions

I just purchased a sigelei 20w VV mod. It came with a free battery too: Efest 2000mah V1. My current tank/coil build is .61 ohm dual coil in a Fogger 4.1. I'm not sure of the quality of the battery that came with it and I'd like to purchase an extra battery but I want the best out there. Any suggestions? Looking for the longest batt life.

Sony, Panasonic, and NMKE are the best in my opinion. They are all rated accurately, designed for high amperage, and deliver good consistent power.

I usually go with Sony VTC5s... I trust them (as long as they are authentic!)

I searched the Segelei Corp website to see if they recommend a particular specification for batteries to use in this mod. I saw no such information.

Assuming this is a DNA device, Evolve the maker of the DNA chip, recommends an IMR battery with at least 12 amps continuous discharge rate. Going by this, the following IMR batteries apply:

Where is a good place to buy the Sony VTC5 batteries?

I buy all of my batteries from RTD Vapor. I think they have the VTC 5 in stock, now.

RTD has them in stock as of 2 hours ago. You can be assured of genuine batteries from them.

Yeah vtc5 is the way to go. I have a sigelei 20w too and been rotating 2 vtcs on them. Occasionally i use an aw 18650.

Personally, I wouldn't use anything sub-ohm unless it was using a 30 amp battery....err on the side of caution....ALWAYS

Some b&m (brick and mortar) shops around you may have them in stock, though you will pay more that way. A good shop will know how to vet out the fakes though

Sony VTC4/5 seem to be the most popular battery for sub-ohm (and for good reason, those things rock!), but a guy at my shop was trying to get me to switch over to LGs. I threw one into my vape (running a .2 ohm dual coil parallel) and it held its own. Unfortunately neither his nor my battery was fully charged so I wasn't able to really gauge which battery performs better.

The only problem with VTC batteries is they became to popular to fast. So the counterfeiters love them.
This make where you buy them more important than them being the battery you want.

Any word on the vamped 40a 18650? My local b&m has them 2 for $20 right now. Seems too good of a deal for a quality battery...
