Can't tell if my battery is dead or just doesn't like getting screwed to the atomizer!

When it's attached to the atomizer, the tip doesn't light up, and I'm just sucking on air. I don't hear anything at all, nada, zippo, zilch!

And it's a fully charged battery, too!

So when I plug it into the charger, the tip blinks green for a few and the red light stays red for a few seconds on the charger before turning green. Try to use it the second time and the result is the same.

So is the battery dead? Or something else?

Haven't had any batteries die on me, so I don't know what a dead battery does when it's done with this life.

Ok, the battery is not dead but has just gone looney on me.

It won't let me put the LED cap back on -- it would just light up on it's own. So I disconnected the battery and replaced the cap. Now I have to suck on it real hard to get very little vaper action. So I took the cap off and still the same.

If nobody else has anything else to suggest, my Glock is loaded and ready! 8-o

It's a defective switch. How old is it? Maybe your supplier will replace it if it's not too old. Otherwise just consider it gone.

I have two that I've been alternating since May. I just checked and it's still under warranty.

I'll probably hold off on sending it back until I get more failures to save on the shipping.

There's no liquid in it. I drip (2 drops every time) and let it drain after each use. I take good care of my "stuff"!

Even the manufacturers in China are advicing against dripping with auto batteries. I'm sure you are very careful but I think it is the nature of the unsealed batteries that they all will get liquid in them over time. The symptons you describe are classic stuck switch which is mostly caused by liquid. It's one of the many reasons why manual batteries have become the favored type of battery.

No problem. And before you throw it away you could try some of this stuff. I've used it on auto mechanical switch batteries (not the microphone type) with good results. Get it at Pep Boys.
