I'm a big AltSmoke fan, they've pulled through for me, and quickly on everything I've ordered in the last few months. I recently picked up a VV BoxMod from madvapes and find myself with a buncha 14500 batteries.

The VV Box doesn't fit in my pocket when I'm working. I'm afraid that I'd snap the carto off if I was carrying it in my jeans anyhow. The eGo batteries I have right now work fine, but I think I'd like something a touch prettier (Chrome? Silvery?) with a bit more power to carry around, to work and such.

So, what's the real difference between the BB and the Alpha? The Alpha has a plunger button, and the BB uses a horn button. I'm assuming that the BB's switch is electronic, where the Alpha is mechanical. Anything else that really stands out in them? Performance issues or anything of the like?

Thanks for the help,
-X

i know you're talkin about 14500.. but if you're planning to go 6v's at any time.. they fit these batteries:

Ultrafire Protected CR2/15270 Li-Ion Battery, 3 Volts

via the comments, it seems like some BB owners are having problems with it fitting.. while the Alpha owners aren't having any problems at all.

the Alpha vent holes are at the bottom of the tube, where the BB vent holes are near the button.. in the case of the battery leaking, i would want it venting out the bottom rather than where the button is.. and i question if it would even leak out that way? this is all speculation and shouldn't be anything to worry bout as long as you use the batteries properly.. which are protected too.

i'm not sure if this is the same with the BB vs Alpha.. but because of the SB's design.. it has slightly more resistance to it than the omega. but nothing you'll notice too much i'd imagine.

really i think just get the style you prefer the most.
