Most people agree that taking "dry hits" (sucking on the carto without firing the device) pulls the juice up into the carto, thus helping it wick better. Why_are_you_typing_like_this? This_takes_a_lot_of_effort_LOL (sorry.. couldn't help it) :D

On a more serious note... if you're using a boge, and it only has one hole.. it may need more. Boges are packed tighter than some of the others and a lot of people use more than one hole. I've never had good luck with a boge in a tank... BUT so many others have so I have ordered 15 of the new xxl boges and am going to give them another try. Did you prime the carto before using it? I didn't and that may have been why I had trouble.

I recently had a Boge 3.0 ohm carto that was bad right out of the gate.
It had 3 holes punched; primed carto until joose (high PG) came out of the holes; filled the tank and even waited a few before firing.
The first drag was dry & tasted burnt filling even though it was loaded & gurgling.
So bad carto right out of the gate I say.

Only_one_pre-punched_hole_(pretty_big_one).

I_vape_50/50.

Might_go_buy_a_saddle-valve_and_open_another_port...I've_tried_all_5_that_I_ordered--they_are_not_bad.

They_just_don't_wick/taste_like_any_of_my_other_tanks/cartos.

You can get them at Lowes or Home Depot for around $7. I have one and once I learned how to use it, it works pretty well. Measure where you want the hole, insert the carto into the saddle valve and line up where you want to punch the hole. Tighten the sv down evenly and pretty snug. If it's not even and snug, the piercing needle will tend to slip down the side of the carto instead of punching down the middle. I got a good tip a couple days ago, leave the rubbery condom on the carto when you insert it into the sv, it will help get a good snug fit and help prevent the piercing needle from sliding or "walking" down the side of the carto. There's more expensive carto punches out there and there is even a diy thread around here somewhere, telling where to buy a $5 part and a screw for punching. But the saddle valve works good and you can get it now instead of waiting for it to ship to you. I've had no trouble (following these tips) punching two holes in my boge cartos and it sure beats paying the extra for prepunched hole that would probably need widening anyway.

Like I said, a while back, I tried a couple boge carto in a tank and got nothing but dry burnt hits. I couldn't get it to wick. so I quit using them and went back to the smoktech 1.7 cartos. This one I'm using now, I punched two holes, put about half a ml of juice in it to make sure the coil was good and wet and then put it in the tank and filled the tank. I've not had a dry or burnt hit yet and I haven't had to take many dry pulls AND I'm not using a tank with a fill hole and screw. This is the second carto out of my pack of the new xxl boge 3ohm cartos, the first was a dud, metered 1.1ohms so I had to toss it. The second is working great and I hope to keep it in use for at least a week. After saying all this though, I wouldn't be surprised if the next one I take out of the pack didn't work at all. It seems that is the nature of vaping.

Bought_above_set-up_for_my_BB.

The_tank_will_NOT_keep_priming_the_carto.

Is_there_any_fixes/tricks_to_this?_I've_had_other_tanks_and_had_0_issues.

TIA

What do you mean that your tank will not keep priming? Do you mean that it's leaking or something? How is it different from the experience that you had with other tanks? You've got a lot of good info already but, just curious as to know more about what your experiencing right now.

Basically...the_carto_does_not_auto-replenish_as_per_the_function_of_a_tank.

It_is_vaping_better_now,_but_I'm_still_going_to_try_another_hole.

I_chain-vape_all_day_and_this_has_me_getting_frustrated...considering_it_is_my_back-up_mod_not_TOO_big_a_deal.

Make sure your o-rings aren't damaged and caps are on perfect, so the tank is getting pressure in it Sneakers, if there is the slightest air leak it may not be pulling juice into the carto, also look at your 510 connection and makes sure your getting a nice draw and feel prssure so the juice is pulling into the carto, just a thought Sneaker

It is frustrating when a something isn't working like it's supposed to though. Punching an extra hole would probably helps with feeding.

Although, Mwa has brought up VERY good points with checking the o-rings, caps, and if the tank is seated correctly. Honestly can't add anymore to this discussion since everything has been covered already.
