I am very happy with my e-liquid supplier. I order from a shop that get their house brand made in a ISO9001 certified lab, with a clean room. BUT, I'm always searching new places, new shops and willing to try a new supplier... And this gets me to my story.

I'm in the process of moving to a new town...currently remodeling the new home. Last week I had googled vape shops in the area, and seen one was on my way to the new place. First bad sign was location. Was in a seedy, very industrial part of town..but I figured no biggy, as I live in the city now, and my favorite local brewer ( Intuition Ale works) is the same way.

I walk in to a very dark, dirty and small shop. They literally had 2 clone mechanical mods on a book shelf, a few clone Rba the shelf under, and a small " vape lounge" to the right. As soon as I walked in the guy was like...oh if you're here to see ( insert owners name) he's in back"....I'm like "no...I'm new to the area and was just checking out local vape shops"

The guy told me most of their business is the internet, and they specialize in custom juice. They had a list, but was informed they could replicate any juice or flavor I like. I asked where did they make the juice, he said in the back.

He invited me to go in back and talk with the owner....so I did.

I was horrified by what I seen next! I'm a fat guy...so please don't take this comment as a bigoted statement... But in back was this huge sweaty fat guy...wearing dirty shorts and and a even dirtier T-shirt, and flip flops. The guy looked like he hadn't bathed in days. His work area was a cluttered dirty mess.

He was nice enough.. Introduced himself and was talking while making juice. Most of his "flavorings" were kept in what appeared to be a very used tackle box. His work area had several syringes... And empty open bottles all over very haphazardly. A few things were kept in a fridge.

He was making a juice....smelled the syringe... Said "dammit... This one has mint in it.. And I haven't had time to wash it out"....sniffed a few more and decided to use one of the several others in front of him.

He goes on to tell me that he can custom replicate any flavor... Just bring him a sample and he will make a bottle to my liking. I thanked him for his time... And got the hell out of dodge!

My point in this story...most of us have no idea of who or where our juice is made!! Ask questions, don't be afraid to ask for copies of certification, if ordering online, ask to see a picture of their lab. I know for me....I will only order from certified labs with clean rooms....this scared the crap out of me for many of the smaller "mom and pop" vendors. Just my .02

I only went to a local store once. When i got my bottle the spelling was "incontine" for nicotine so i would completely agree that the quality of the juice is always going to be questionable in local shops. Then again i would hate to ask to see the lab and certifications because they might fart in my e juice or something.

I don't get it....did you care this much about where your cigarettes were manufactured? I can understand avoiding juice manufacturers that are so careless that your juice may be contaminated with some toxic chemicals, but I don't see a huge problem with the area not being to pharmaceutical standards. As long as he washes the syringes once a day I don't see a huge issue here, but if it appears that he just doesn't give a rats a-- then I would avoid them... Asking for certifications from a manufacturer is a bit over the top IMO...

That's 1 of the reasons why I'm switching to D.I.Y and most importantly I try to buy only from trusted suppliers.

we have an ecf forum also in Israel and I don't buy stuff that the "pro's" don't use , here it's even more dangerous because most of them buy their stuff from china and put their own stickers on the bottles so you only know it's from china and that's about it.

That's a big problem with e-juices , any1 can open up a "lab" in his garage and make juices but that also goes to food as some1 else mentioned , you have no idea if the guy that makes your dinner is not picking his nose while cooking so the best we can do is go to recommended places.

If I see a messy kitchen or food prep personnel that are not following sanitary conditions, I leave! If I see a place that looks like what the OP described making juice, I will leave!
Sometimes it is better if we can't see where our stuff is coming from....

My local B&M just hired a mixologist who makes some great juices. Stopped in and asked when they were going to put out their juice. He said that they were preparing a "clean room" within the store before they started. That was encouraging!!

Its scarey enough but truly, I can't see the kitchen in most restaurants other than fast food and they might fail an inspection the day after I eat there. I can't see the produce storage area in the market and I've ventured into a few looking for an employee and didn't like what I saw. I also can't see the deli kitchen at the grocers either. I got sick on a rotiserrie checken from one... really sick. I can't see the meat packing houses either and how many have gotten sick from bacteria-laden meat? Even DIYn, I can't see the conditions of the flavoring houses or how sanitary they are transferring PG to smaller sizes or nic for that matter. These days with all areas being filled with slacker-CYA employees, I figure eating, drinking, vaping, vitamins... anything I swallow or inhale is a roll of the dice. But, yeh, if I saw what you did, I wouldn't buy there.

Thanks for the tip! At least he's honest and names his juice accordingly... "Bathtub Blendz™", the cherry bomb sounds tasty.

"Hello Daddy, Hello Mom..."
Sweet, but spicy. Kinda sexy like the girl next door but not trashy like the tarts on the street. Sweet wild cherry with a bit of cinnamon makes this flavor one to pop your taste buds.

And this is why I DIY
