Ahh. memories... things I can't say on this forum, that are brought on by the White Album.

I'll have to say, only one band, IMHO, ever outdid the Beatles, though. That is until the lead singer died in '71. A true poet was lost that day.

Agreed on the white album forum comment. I'd say most of the bands I enjoy are a hard comparison to the Beatles. I guess I just think them as kind of a separate entity. Although I do feel that Neutral Milk Hotel made an album that is untouchable by anyone in any genre

Lol I know what ya mean.. When Im 64 is my favorite because when I was dating my husband while he was in college, he lived 3 hours away from me and sang it to me on the phone. (He'd kill me if I knew I blabbed that.. bahahaha!)

I can't count on how many times Jim Morrison's poetry got me through rough times.

But it was the White Album we'd need a "babysitter", a sort of sober/clean person to take us driving, hiking, out to breakfast, etc. Yeah, we were adults, then, lol. But someone had to stay clean to work the lights!

lol, always gotta have that "babysitter". Music hasn't seen too many poets of jim's caliber very often, unfortunately. Good to know music is still getting some of us by though,btw.
