Welcome Becky,

Unfortunately, you may have to try several different flavors to find the one you like. So far nothing is like smoking a real cig; however, the flue-cured from e-cig is good and TB is stating that regular from Johnsoncreeksmokejuice is very good. I should get that flavor in tomorrow so I can try it out.

We've heard promises that Chinese wizards would soon offer the taste of all our popular American cigarettes -- Kent, Marlboro, Salem, etc. Nothing to date is close. So we learn to appreciate new flavors. The flue-cured is good and Johnson Creek regular tobacco is good.

Most e-cig "tobacco" flavors are essentially tasteless. Especially to a new ex-smoker. Within a week, however, you'll like the e-smoking flavors better and consider cigarette smoke too harsh and a bit stinky. Keep e-puffing.

I just received my new NJOY...the smoke is great..but the flavor isn't..I am wondering is there any e cigg out there that actually tastes like you are smoking vs some cherry tasting thing?

Hi Becky and welcome
I am having the same problem as you. You can try all the flavours there are not many if any that come close to a real cigarette.
The only one that I have come across so far to me is Marlborough flavoured cartridges or liquid. I think T. B. recommended flue cured tobacco I am currently trying this and to be honest I really like it but this also smells and tastes quite fruity to.
What F. C. T. smells like taste like to me because the version I have has got a very rich aroma to it which is pleasant but what this reminds me of when I used to smoke a pipe a few years back and then you could buy what they called in the UK fruit tobacco.
It is pretty much identical in smell and taste to what that actually was back then but I'm not complaining about this but I think you will still get this fruitiness that you don't really want but try it and see.
When buying cartridges brand names as I am just realising. Their standard tobacco flavoured cartridges differ example the sedansa standard tobacco flavour is exactly like Marlborough. Janty standard tobacco flavoured cartridges taste completely different some people like these. Me and my partner think they've got a soapy taste to them basically we found them foul.

So I would advise you to try and see if you can get sample packs with various flavours and see if one of those will suit. And try and go for a pack that has more cigarette type flavour sounding names to them.

And T. B. is completely right after a week you will adjust to this. But one tip is when you first try a new flavour you might think oh I don't like this one and think it's a little bit to strong all the flavours doesn't feel right leave it and go back to it probably the following day and then try again and then sometimes you'll be quite surprised. That's how I was when I first tried Marlborough and now I love this more than the others.

But this is a learning curve like anything else and in time hopefully you will adjust to what suits you.
