So I mainly only registered on this forum to chat about rda builds and to do massive amounts of buy/sell/trade business. On other specialty forums I have done hundreds of recorded deals with feedback but not on eBay. I also am PayPal verified among other things. So I guess my question is with the PayPal verification apparently not working on this site. And not having eBay feedback my only option is to be referred by an existing member or go to a notary. First off I am absolutely not going to go pay a notary and go through all that trouble just to use this forums b/s/t function, that is absolutely rediculous. So the only other option is to be referred by a verified member. If anyone who is verified would like to do a small transaction to prove my legitimacy that would be appreciated but otherwise I'm very close to just boycotting this forum all together. I do have a lot to offer knowledge and forum-economy wise but after over a week of not being able to use the function I signed up here for I'm ready to give up on this place. Any advice would be appreciated even if it's being told to screw off! Lol
Thanks
-Eli

Eli; you will do as you see fit.

Some people here sells and trades very unique items there were only 100 of them ever made or mods worth several $hundred.

If some one makes off with a person's $ abd not ship the item that puts ECF in a ticklish situation.

I would go the Notary route. Its not that big a deal. To get sonething notarized only costs $1-5, abd some banks and Credit unions offee free Notary service for customers.

Speaking of Pay Pal: Pay Pal has been weird since Pay Pal and eBay split. Maybe Pay Pal will fix that problem of verifying members soon.

i don't think anyone is debating the need of a secure environment.

but on the notary route; not everyone lives in the usa, here in belgium for example a notary is an expensive affair

and on the paypall they are working on a workaround/fix

I'm going to say this and it's just my opinion but i am never one to hold back even if it's extremely unpopular :

ECF has rules , a lot of rules actually and many of them have caused many many people to jump ship . Unfortunately for ECF that fact has not really made any difference as the rules pretty much are as stringent as ever .

Bottom line is if you want to participate you have to abide by those rules . There's just no getting around it , i have also tried to become a verified member but deemed it to be too much of a hassle .
