Now that I'm smoking less...i've found that I'm eating too much. I didn't pull out my snacks this morning at work (trying to be good) and now my stomach is growling....I wonder if I should not eat unless my stomach is growling...

I know that if it growls long enough and I don't feed it...the growling will go away, but I wonder if I shouldn't eat until my body says so...

Opinions?

Actually what I found out the first time I quit smoking cold turkey is that you'll get weird cravings for snacks because your brain is lacking that connection of that constant hand-to-mouth oral fixation. For the first few weeks it was really bad, I found myself eating tons of chips when I hardly ever ate them before. E-Cigs are that happy medium for me, I can still satisfy that oral fixation while not killing myself in the process.

On to the O.P, Maureen, when your stomach is growling it usually means that it's ready for some food. Instead of eating 2 or 3 big meals a day, try breaking them down to 5, 6 or even 7 lighter meals/snacks. Breakfast should always be your biggest meal of the day as this is when your metabolism is most active, and meals should get considerably lighter throughout the day. Eat like a Queen in the morning and a bag lady at night. :pWatch the pounds roll off with just this simple change in your diet.

You can always go on my diet......

Breakfast = a banana

Lunch = salad with canned chicken, hard boiled egg, celery, sunflower seeds, and yellow bell pepper.

Dinner = repeat lunch

Yep.......mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmmmmm, good:mad:

Oh......and did I mention I've been doing this for at least 2 weeks w/ very small amt of cheating and lost all of 3 to 5 lbs???? Woohoo **twirls finger in the air**:p

Yeah...it was...it always kept me from sticking food in my mouth apparently...especially when I sit at my desk at work...now even trail mix is evil....maybe I need to up to 48mg myself...

Maybe you should try the opposite. Lower the strength, forcing you to keep it in your mouth more to get enough nic. Can't eat if your mouth is already full! I don't really have experience with this, though. My weight never seems to change, even though I have been eating a bit more since I switched.

That makes a lot of sense.
