...y'know how with most other forms of quitting, there's a head's up on the package (I've tried all of them) that says, "Vivid or unusual dreams are common and not dangerous"??

Have you noticed changes in your sleeping hours since starting to vape?

If so, and you'd like to, please share the type of change and if you enjoy it or not, etc..

just curious what everyone else is noticing...

I've never been able to remember my dreams before I quit smoking. Now, I seem to remember them more so. They are very vivid, detailed dreams..most of the time not all too pleasant (very unusual).

I'm going through a lot in my life right now with anxiety and other stuff, could have something to do with it. I always like to type in certain aspects of my dream to see Freud's take on things. I know it isn't necessarily accurate by any means, but it sure is interesting.

@ Kimmy - Similar, here. I didn't think I was having dreams when I smoked analogs. I'm getting audio now. I thought it was just me, not the analogs. - It is interesting! Maybe a way to get over stress, etc??

btw, Keveck - yep! totally bizarre on the patch!

I am not up until 2AM every night since I switched to e-cigs and lowered my mg to 4 or zero. Falling asleep in my chair at midnight these days. I always thought I was a night owl but all those 'one more cig and I will goto bed' really impacted my sleep I guess.

I have also been remembering more of my dreams. Very bizarre ones. They aren't Technicolor like post hallucinogenic dreams but they are epic in scope and I sometimes wake up exhausted from them.

I have been so stressed out and I have a 2+ year old who has decided for months now that he is going to wake up all night.!... Sleep.... not sure what that is anymore!... As for dreaming.... really bizarre stuff but who knows what that is from! I really don't think that has anything to do with vaping or quitting analogs! Sorry, can't help you much there!

Well, when I first started vaping in March of this year, I had a lot of trouble falling asleep. Don't know if it was the quitting cigarettes or the exciting new "ecig" chain-vaping that followed. Of course, after coming off of Chantix, every dream now is just a dream. That Chantix will leave you more exhausted when you wake up after eight or ten hours, than if you had just stayed up all night. I would recommend that no one ever try it. I tried it three times and I think it should be pulled from the market, personally.

Anyway, yes I had more dreams when I first started vaping, probably too much nicotine too late in the evening because I was so excited and enjoyed all the new flavors and toys. Now, with decreased nicotine levels and the newness having worn off, I'm back to my normal occasional dream and sleep pretty well. But yes, I think nicotine acts as a stimulant and appetite supressant as well. Did I spell that correctly?

To Ravens Rose: don't you wish they made a safe, all-natural, legal "baby sleeping pill" ?

Just kidding...please, no one give a baby a sleeping pill tonight. I'm just joking. K?

OFF TOPIC:

lol... He use to go to bed at 8 - 8:30 pm (put him to bed wide awake & he would fall asleep by himself) and I would not hear a peep till morning.... Terrible 2's set in around 18 months and it's been nuts ever since! Morning, noon & night! No Worries.... no sleeping pills for him... just wish I could figure out what is waking him up.

It's monsters under the bed....it's ALWAYS monsters under the bed!8-o

Does he have a stuffed Elmo? (ie - putting the 'monster' on the bed defends against any potential other monsters still under the bed - don't get BigBird - not for a few years - scares the h'ck out of the little ones!)

...just saying.

lol... Have many Elmo's.... all different sizes.... small one in bed with him and a very LARGE one sitting outside, not under the bed... hummm maybe that's the problem but I am not sure that BIG Elmo will fit under the bed!! (toddler bed)

Wait... monsters under the bed at 2 years old? Isn't that a bit young?

Maybe, maybe not. I volunteered at a day-care & met some 2yr olds that are scared of everything as soon as mommy is out of hug-range. They can't really express fears except by crying. I think they must all have some scary dreams. (At or around 2 kids become aware of two-way touch and start realizing when mommy and daddy aren't in their 'safe zone' and freak out)

I did as a kid but, my monsters were always outside (the window in my room rattled like crazy) My mom used to put a drop of her perfume on pillow until I was 5. I don't remember but, she said it helped. iow, don't give in but, check the windows first, lol! I still think it's always monsters...somewhere but that's just me.

Maybe soft music you sing and playback at night, seeing you've tried Elmo?

It's only another year - you poor darling! :(

imuo(in my unprofessional opinion) take video of yourself being tired - use to induce guilt during teens. That also worked well for my parents :D

Go with your gut. No one has the instinct of a mother, y'know?

Good luck & keep us updated, Rose!
