Was that from the Kidney Puncher clearance? I got one from that for some crazy low price of ~$10. Then paid another $10 for a W base. Ended up with a very reasonable clone and good enough to make me believe the authentic would be well worth buying if it could be found. I only wish the clone had not reproduced the same jumping ohms issue the authentic is known for as well. You really need to tighten everything down and pay attention to the 510 pin.
haha mate, I seen the one ive got now listed on ebay for 55 £, I instantly brought it.... luckily it IS authentic, I know someone whos selling a squape though if your interested? think they was asking 75 pounds, you might be able to bargain with her though seeing as your probably in the states

Thanks for the heads up. That is worth thinking about. I've been thinking hard about the new Squape X (?dream) which is out. The top fill is way tempting. The Squape R is not hard once you understand it, but I spent many puzzled minutes trying to figure it out when I first got it. That was a true "Oh, this is how you're supposed to fill it?" moment.

Yes, that was from the KP blowout.

I found that the jumping ohms came down to the oxidation that occurs between the different metals of the pin and deck. I noticed a grey coating on the pin one day and this is when I worked it out. A thorough cleaning of both fixes it. I used a pipe cleaning tool similar to an interdental brush with a little metal polish where the pin screws in, and some metal polish and cloth on the pin. I also found that I needed to adjust the pin out a bit more than I normally would to get a good solid contact.

I got very close to throwing it away at one stage through sheer frustration, but the method above worked for me after trying so many different things.
