I havent been vaping for a few years. I just got bored with it I guess. Now I find myself wondering what new stuff is out there. I was into the joy510 pen style ecigs, but I am thinking the newer stuff might be better quality. I like a lot of vapor.
When I left, people were just starting to create some fat sticks with more amps. I saw a friend last year with one, it looked like they have come far with it. The juice was in a chamber instead of soaked in a medium.
Does anyone have the time to breakdown the classifications for me?
Maybe recommend a nice vaporizer?

Welcome back after 4 years and 11 months of being away. A LOT has changed since then. I'll leave it for our experts to reply to your question, but I'm going to move this thread to the General vaping Discussion subforum so it gets more traction.

What have you been doing for the last 5 years?

I'm certainly not an expert but if it's lots of vapor you want then you will want to be vaping on sub ohm setups. Mech mods and box mods can work well for this. I personally prefer mech mods for their simplicity. Youtube is a great place to check out some videos to see what system would suit you the best. You can also see coil building tutorials that will show you how to get the most vapor. Just remember to be safe and get proper batteries. Need the proper amps to run sub ohm coils. Welcome back!!

Reducing resistance to increase power is the only option with mechanicals. There are more options with devices that can adjust volts. Sub ohm is NOT the only current option.
OP - Watch some videos on youtube about rebuildable atomizers and see if that's the route you want to take. They provide the best results, but require more involvement. You could learn a lot more, a lot faster watching some videos and then we could help with gear. Trying to bring you up to speed here could take a while. The picture worth a thousand words thing.

Like you I was out of the game for a long time. I decided it was time to fully and finally make the switch and quit smoking. I started with a tank setup. Aspire Nautilus was what I chose. I chose it because I could put a ton of liquid in it. I also got a battery that would last all day 1300 mAh. After being on that setup for 3 months I decided to get my first rebuildable, The Caterpillar. I wanted more vapor, more flavor! after getting that in I got a better battery, the Eleaf iStick 2200 mAh. It has been great and will continue to be my all day out and about set up. I have just ordered my first mechanical mod, the Nemesis and a 3000 mAh battery for it. Like I stated before, I wanted more vapor and more flavor. Liquid has come a LONG way as well. Better flavor choices, stronger flavors, cool hits, and extra added flavors all increase the "tailoring to your needs" aspect. There is no one size fits all with hardware or wetware. The vape game has truly become an a la carte experience. It is one that is not easy to master but when you get the hang of it, there is nothing better.
