Almost a decade ago, I used this forum to help me decide my first e-cig, a Joye 510 3v. I later upgraded to a Prodigy V3 mechanical using 510 cartomizers. I would run it with two stacked RCR123a 3v batteries and it worked great. I found I liked the throat hit and vapor production from a 6v better than a 3v.

Well, eventually I've fallen farther and farther behind, since I don't watch the board anymore. What I've got now is a SmokTech Bolt in the same 6v stacked configuration. I've been told recently several times that my rig is a dinosaur and liable to asplode. Problem is I don't know of any 6v modern equivalents. They all seem to vape much lower. I really do enjoy the greater heat and I think it keeps my cartos lasting longer.

Anybody mind pointing me in the direction of something new and equivalent that might fit the bill? I'm kinda dazzled with all the search results. haha

my kbox mini goes well over 6 volts with a1 ohm coil. What is the resistance on your cart? Volts is kinda irrelevant. Watts is much more important, being the total power output. They also make temperature control now, that may be your speed, since you say you like it hot. That will let you set exactly how hot you want it. I assume you are using could in the 2.5 watt range, which means you are getting around 12 watts output. Pretty much any vw mod can achieve that, and more.
