Reading through the forums I came across the modders forum and was reading about high voltage vaping and the PV's that they were using to achieve it. Then I came across the Prodigy.
Prodigy V1
I like it because right off the bat I got a massive throat hit, colossal clouds of vapor I had to dial down to 18mg just to stop gagging, it also gave me the chance to try 0 nic for the first time and still get a throat hit with colossal clouds of vapor.
Also it gave me the versatility to go 3.6, 3.7, 5, 6, 7.2, 7.4 and 8.4v if I can ever get the switch housing without the resistor (I got mine used with a resistor) minor glitch but compounded by the long wait time to get it in stock.
It fits nicely on/in my hand its small and feels like a 2 cell maglite, switch is very easy to find just run your finger tips around and you'll bump in to it, although personally I'd like it to be smooth all around prodigy feels boxy to me because of how it was designed.
Cross threading is a big issue though as I understand this happens more often when people start changing the adapter for other atty styles like the 801, 510 and 901. Good thing the modders dept has tons and tons of mods regarding and including but not limited to on how to mate everything with an RCA plug. Or you do what I did I bought adapters my used prodigy came with a 510 adapter then as fate would provide someone was selling 510 to 901 adapters so I just ordered one of those and viola no more changing the prodigy adapter cross threading problem solved. Better than the alternative once that thread goes say goodbye to the prodigy.
As I understand the prodigy body is made of aluminum but so is the maglite but then I've owned about 8 maglites and non have had a cross threading issue and believe me it has been put to a lot of test you ever go camping with the kids and let them play with it then have them change the battery everyday not to mention the other kids who wonder why the 2 cell mini mag don't have a switch but turns on when you unscrew the head off.
Back on point as I have mentioned I am a heavy vaper I usually vape between 5-8ml a day. Since I have had the prodigy I vape the same but now its mostly 5ml of 0 nic and about 3ml of 16mg nic. I have been using the prodigy almost exclusively ever since I got it and have ran into some old problems from using the 901, and I'm even dripping this time. The juice finds its way back to the mouth piece and into my mouth I think thats how bad my dragging gets.
And the search continues, there is a PV out there made just to suite my needs I just need to invest more 801 or the 510 or even maybe a pipe. For now I have to contend with following MOM of 901 vaping.
Side note.
For those beginners and /or veterans who drag as hard and uses the 901 and also drips please send in your thoughts on how to achieve this or how to get around the juice blow back problem. I have tried the superT 901 T-Tip Brass Mouthpiece, good for dripping and heat dissipation but it wobbles on the 901 its not as tight as I thought it would be.
Just to illustrate how bad my drag is here is a pic of the 901 T-Tip Brass Mouthpiece after about two 3 drip sessions.
