While the test results are hard data, the conclusions and recommendations I make based on these tests are only my personal opinion based on my criteria for setting a rating. Carefully research any cell you are considering using before purchasing.

Testing cells at their limits is dangerous and should never, ever, be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved and how to minimize them.

If the cell has only one current rating number on it, or if it only says "max" then I have to assume that the company is stating that the cell can be discharged at that current level in any way, including continuously.

(Sorry for the split link but direct links to Imgur do not display properly)

    Bottom Line
This cell has “25A CDC” on the wrap which I believe is a continuous discharge current rating. While this is a bit of an overrating I am delighted to say that there is no useless “max” or “pulse” rating on the wrap

The wrap has “IMR 18650” on it but this cell does not use the battery chemistry often associated with the IMR model number prefix. It uses the chemistry associated with the INR prefix.

This cell appears identical, and performs essentially identical, to the LG HG2. I am rating this Golisi cell at 20A and 3000mAh.

The two cells that were tested were donated by Golisi for that purpose. Thank you!

    • At 10A continuous this cell delivered 2808mAh. This is average performance for a 3000mAh rated cell at 10A so I am rating it at 3000mAh.

    • Golisi paid a fee to be moved to the front of the testing queue, which currently has an 8-10 week backlog. This cannot influence my test results as they pay in advance and I don’t care if any company never does this, or donates batteries, again. My reputation is a lot more important than any battery donation or payment.

I hate to be the Negative Nancy here, but how do you know the cells they "donated" aren't ringers? That they're the same ones that Golisi will actually be selling?

With a 18 - 20A rating on the wrap, it would look better, imho.

    TBH...I don't know.

But the consequences of being caught would be pretty bad for them. I retest, 2-4 months later, a large number of the cells I test. I haven't found any problems with ringers yet.
