Hello all,
I put together a berry blend for my wife:
15ml 80/20, 18mg
5% TFA Blueberry Extra
5% TFA Strawberry Ripe
5% Cap Respberry
2% TFA Vanilla Swirl
4 drops sweetener

4 drops Real Lemon lemon juice (added 2 days after the initial mix)

The flavor is OK, but nothing special, and it's on the weak side of things compared to an e-juice we get at our local B&M (Berry Blast from Awesome Vapor). I'd read that lemon juice can help make fruit flavors pop or brighten up, so I added a few drops after a couple of days and a few test vapes. Aside from adding a bit of bite to the tongue during inhale (?), I'm not sure it did anything.

So, any suggestions? I'm probably going to try bumping the flavor up one percent (maybe two for the Cap. Raspberry). Beyond that, I'm not sure where to go.

Thanks!

No real world experience yet, but it seems like mixers like to add Koolada or a touch of menthol to fruits.

This is a recipe I found on here somewhere (sorry, didn't write down the creator) that I'll try when I get all the stuff:
AQUA BERRY BLAST
9% Watermelon (TPA)
7% Blueberry (TPA)
4% Strawberry (TPA)
2% Menthol or Koolada
1 Drop per 3ML (Tart & Sour)

This is a great Sweet/Sour Fruit with a cold blast!

All I can recommend is do only 3 ml samples until you get it right. If you are on Facebook, friend DIY Recipes and there's alot of Vapers into DIY there that might can help if you don't get it here. It's a great Facebook site.
I actually went though a few 3ml variations before hitting something that is right enough for now. Our B&M is out of the berry mix and won't be receiving it for another couple of weeks. Since it's one of her daily vapes, she said good 'nuff works, but keep working on it! Lol.

I dropped way too much Koolada in one of the first versions. That stuff will light you up if you're not careful! If you use it, start low; .5%-1%
The tart and sour might help though.

I'd be sure to have a 'base' rather than having all of those parts equal. In my experiences, raspberry flavors are very tart and in your face, so maybe try having blueberry/strawberry as the dominant voice with hints of the other and raspberry. Notching the Vanilla Swirl down to 1% and throwing in .5% of marshmallow(untoasted) and .25% EM might work to give more of a 'sweet body' to it. I'd also use .5% menthol and 1% sour to make their 'berry' side come alive (along with the lemon drops).

Edit - You could also try to compliment the flavors with a partner. For example, if you use 5% Blueberry, throw in 1% Blackberry. If you use 3% Raspberry, throw in .75% Watermelon. Experiment with pairing each fruit with a partner at a much lower level to produce a more 'adventurous' flavor.

Just wanna note this is a recipie by a JW. It's been stolen and resold by two vendors that I know of that give him no credit at all.
One reason I never post my recipes.
