There isn't really much selection for the 14650 size. I couldn't find any AW's anywhere, and that would be my first choice. It looks like what you list above is about all there is. Given the choices you've got I'd probably just go with one of the Trustfires. Flat-tops don't work in some devices without a magnetic spacer and have the potential to slip off to the side which could cause a short. You don't want that. Besides, I've had more bad luck with Ultrafires than Trustfires, although I quit buying both of those brands after acquiring my first set of AW's.

thank cskent, I believe that my e-power takes the flat tops, at least the ones that came with it were flat top, like these:

Looks like electronicstix is the way to go for me, their's look to be the trustfires, at least from the picture. At $5.45 for a pair, that sounds like a good deal then.

Oops, never mind, I read it wrong, they are $14.50 for the pair...

No, there isn't much choice in protected. 14650 batteries out there. On the positive side that means there isn't an issue with counterfeit 14650s.

I prefer the Trustfire Blue protected 14650 to the OEM battery provided by Smoktech. Although the Trustfire Blue has an exaggerated capacity rating of 1600mAh the performance is just as good and the build quality is better than OEM. The Trustfire PCBs are centered better, the wrapper is tougher and the battery fits the E-Power 14650 tube without rubbing that evenutally wears through the OEM wrapper.

Photos comparing the two batteries: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...on/283997-e-power-battery-14650-problems.html

I purchase my Trustfire Blue protected 14650s here. $8.80 for two. Less than $4 apiece if you buy more than 6. Free shipping. Arrives from Singapore in 10-14 days.
Genuine TrustFire 2*3.7V 1600mAh 14650 Protected Rechargeable Li-ion Battery (Blue) - EB289L at US$ 8.80

Thank yzer, I can't believe I didn't find that post in my searches. Exactly what I was looking for.

AW used to make 14670 that would fit the E-Power 14650. I don't recall if that was protected ICR or IMR. At any rate, I believe AW discontinued this battery a couple of months ago.

I Googled the AW and it is disco. Ran into a light saber forum in the process...lol!!
