Hey guys,
I have been using 18650 batteries in my king clone for sub ohm vaping. However, the size

Greetings, welcome to the forum. Below is a past post by Baditude on this topic, after the following blog on battery safety: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/4848-9-battery-basics-mods-imr-protected.html

You can't go wrong with AW IMR batteries. The Panasonic & Orbtronic hybrids are also a good choice, although the 3400 mAh Panny should only be used for mechanical mods with only clearomizers or cartomizers due to its 6.8 amp limit.

18650 1600mah 24A

MNKE IMR
18650 1500mah 20A

Panasonic or Orbtronic hybrid
CGR18650CH (IMR/hybrid) 2250mAh 10A
NCR18650PD (LiNiCoAl) 2900mAh 10A

Samsung hybrid (LiNiCoMnP)

INR18650-20R 2000mah 22A

Sony

Thanks for posting that Glenn. :)

I don't know when that was posted, but the AW 18490 IMR 1100mAh has a 16 amp continuous discharge rating. There has been differing specifications on this battery depending upon the sources, but AW himself posted in one of the battery forums it is 16.5 amp with a C rating of 15C.

I've been told that a higher constant disharge rate (amps) is more favorable so i am thinking the efest (30A), sony (30A), Orbtronic (22A), or the AW (24A). Out of these 4, which would you guys suggest as the "best" as far as quality and performance? also keep in mind that my mod is known to reject flat tops so they would have to be button top. thanks for all the replies as well!

I know the sony 30amp vtc4's I have are flat top, not sure about the vtc3's which are also 30amp but slightly lower mah. The AW was my favorite for a long time, never tried the efest as I ordered some but they were lost in the mail. orbtronics are pretty popular but I never ordered them. The sony's are my favorite between them and the AW's
