Battery Sizes- Do they require different ohms?

Be careful and don't kill yourself.

It depends on how the battery is made, not just the size.

I think the 18350 just means it is 18 mm in diameter and 350mm long.

The nnn mah indicates how much energy it contains. 1100 mah will produce 1.1 amps (1100 miliamps) for one hour.

There is no marking on the battery that indicates how many amps a battery can produce. There is no way of telling if a battery can produce 1.1 amps for an hour, 2.2 amps for 1/2 hour, 20 amps for about .05 hours.

Look up an ohm's law calculator and stick in the 4.2 volts for a fresh Li battery and .5 ohms and you need to get 8.4 amps.

If you ask for more amps than a battery can produce it will get hot. If a Li battery gets hot it gives off gas. Bad case your mod is air tight and it blows up. Better case it is vented and you get burned by the escaping gas.

Please be careful and don't hurt yourself

Check with a physicist.
