18350 Batteries

Here are several batteries you can look for:

1. AW IMR 18350 800mah 12A (new)
2. Purple Efest IMR 18350 700mAh 10.5A
3. Efest IMR 18350 800mah 6.4A
4. AW IMR 18350 700mah 6A

Higher mAh will give you longer vape time. Higher amps will allow you to build lower.

Are you familiar with Ohm's law?

No I'm not familiar with ohms law but does it affect the battery and the mech? Potentially harmful or something? Lol

Yes, absolutely...
I would strongly suggest that no one even consider using a mech, until they have a thorough understanding of Ohm's law, and how it applies to vaping with a mechanical mod...but, that's just me.
Baditude should roll through here soon enough, with a host of pictures that illustrate this point.

The best batteries I have found available in 350 size are the authentic AW branded 800mAh (new). The only place I know for sure you can get real ones is RTDVapor. Those are supposed to be the 10 amp batteries, although I have never seen an independent test. Tensai is supposed to be making honest 14 amp batteries in 350 size, but I have never seen one and AFAIK they are not available in the US. You will find some solid cell test data (in 650 size) on @Mooch 's blog; and several beginner-to-advanced pieces and tutorials about batteries and safety in general on @Baditude 's blog. Yes, Ohm's law is hugely important in mech modding. It is, in fact, your only safety factor to keep your batteries from overheating, or venting toxic gasses, or lighting on fire, or exploding in your hand. Do yourself a favor and learn about this before you get into trouble. You may wish to buy an iStick 30 to use while you do. Seriously. Failing that, don't buld that KFL below .8 using the authentic AWs I have mentioned, or below 1.2 with any other battery. Also seriously. I do not believe you're going to find an "all day" 18350, unless you only take a puff or two every hour. I never have. This advice comes from a guy who uses an MMV Nanos in 350 trim as his daily driver, and used a Nemi before the Nanos showed up.

Yes, as others above me have said. You also need an ohm reader to measure your build BEFORE you put it on your mod & firing it.

@Triple7, 18350's aren't necessarily intended for longevity. Do you know what the resistance of your build is? Higher ohms will allow the battery to last a little longer. Depending on how often you use will play a part as well. I have a couple of the Purple Efests, and when used lightly, can last for a few hours.

You might just need to carry multiple batteries (in a protective case) to get through the day.

:thumb: These are actually 12 amps CDR. This is the best IMR battery on the market, besting the purple Efest 18350 by almost 2 amps CDR and 100 mAh.
