Efest Purple 10.5amp 18350 - 700mah - Flat top - 101 Vape

They have both button top and flat top purple high amp e-fests for about $7.

edit: let me add that I've ordered 3 times from 101vapes with absolutely no issues and they are wicked fast in shipping. They are one of my trusted sites and I will be ordering from them again.

Battery life still isn't greatest because I'm using unregulated mod.

Battery life would be even worse with a regulated mod.

The electronics in a VV/VW regulated mod requires electricity to run, and those electronics are always on and active even if you turned the device "off". They don't really turn off at all, they go into a standby mode and disable the fire button, but the electronics are still drawing power to retain the settings you made, and to recognize when you turn it back on.

Plus regulated mods have more voltage loss through the body as well as the electronics.

Way better deal, I paid $9 for each but am happy to support a local B&M as I am a newb to the whole vape deal.

Probably not a good update but here goes. Put the purple 18350 in yesterday afternoon and vaped for about 2 hours. Today I would guess I averaged only 2-3 good pulls an hour, very busy today and I only average 1-2ml's a day. Anyway, I have been home and pulling pretty hard and the battery is still going. So far I have zero issues. Hope this helps and would think a 2-3ml a day user would have no issues at all.

First off, your Innokin Cool Fire 1 is a processor-controlled regulated mod. It's pulse/buck boost circuitry requires a high drain battery to perform proficiently.

The AW battery is a high drain IMR battery. The Trustfire is a protected ICR low drain battery. You'll get better performance with the AW in your Cool Fire 1. (There's more to choosing a battery than just picking the one with the highest mAh rating. Battery chemistry is often more important.)

IMR batteries are far safer to use in mods than ICR batteries. IMR batteries may vent a little gas should they go into thermal runaway. An ICR battery will vent hot gas, flames, and possibly explode.

Thanks for that post. Is there any info on "how to choose" the proper battery for each device?

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected?

Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries

Simply put, choose a high-drain, safe-chemistry battery (IMR or hybrid) for every mod type, whether regulated or a mechanical. If doing sub-ohm rebuildables, choose a high drain battery which has a high enough amp rating for the amp draw the coil will pull. In this day of modern battery technology I can think of no reason to use a low-drain protected ICR battery.

Just getting into mods, and am investigating 18350 batteries - ordered a Vamo V5 (regulated mod?) recently, and ordered a couple of Panasonic NCR18650B 3.7V 3400mAh for it. But for looking for 18350 batteries for backup and lower profile situations. From what I've been reading, most people would recommend the AW IMR batteries, but out the Efest 18350 red or purple, what would be the recommendation? I understand the 10A draw is an attraction for mech mod users, but I'm probably not going to be getting into that, at least any time soon, so that's not really a consideration for me - the Vamo V5 only goes up to 6A, right?
