I could not find any better place to post this, but it might be at least a bit relevant. I have two Nemesis clones and neither will work with my regular flat top 18650 batteries (LG 2600s, Efest 2500 purples, and Panasonic 2900s). The clones are slightly too long. I can screw out the top and bottom battery terminals as much as possible and get it to contact, but when I do that the (stupid) "grain of rice" pin falls out on the bottom. They work fine with 18500 and 18350 batteries. They will fit some Eagletac 18650 button top batteries I have, which are longer, but only rated for 7A, which is not enough. Is there an 18650 battery extender to provide an extra quarter inch so I can leave the bottom screw tight?

There is a small tube section, it's only about 3/16" long. Remove that if it's installed and try again. And tighten up the switch contact screw that you unscrewed. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to gently tighten it just a bit more than I can by hand.

I use the same batteries in that mod and it works for me :)

The SVD is regulated and does not require much from the battery, under 10 amps. I would use anything other than a battery with the word fire in it's name. Balance the cost/mah and get the battery you want.

With the mech you need to make a decision. How low will you go on the resistance? You DO have an ohm meter to check, don't you?

At .6 ohms you are only drawing 7 amps and just about any current battery, again stay away from the fires, will work. If you plan on going under .6 then the battery requires more thought.

There is nothing wrong with the Sonys. They are fine batteries but you pay a premium, cost and mah, for a battery that will produce 30 amps to put in a device, the SVD, that will never draw over 10.
