Best atomizers/clearomizers for people who prefer to vape at around 1.0 ohms?

I've done some searching, and not all sub ohm tanks "support" 1.0 (ish) coils. I prefer to vape around 1.0-1.2.

I currently have an Aspire Atlantis Mega (I use 1.0 coils with this,) and a KangerTech Subtank Mini (which I vape at 1.2.) They're great, but I'm looking to buy others and I don't know how to find more like these. I know of the Aspire Atlantis and Atlantis v2... I just feel like they would be too much like the Mega for my liking.

I don't mind using .5 coils, but it's not preferred.

Would love some help with finding something new. Thanks!

Are you looking for a tank that delivers the same volume of vapor as your Atlantis or Subtank? Also, you open to venturing into rebuildables or do you want to stick with pre-made coil heads?

The Mega seems to deliver a lot more vapor than my Subtank does, and I like that, but it really doesn't matter too much to me.

I don't want to venture into rebuildables yet, don't feel like I'm ready to take on that challenge at this point in time. Pre-made is what I'm looking for right now. :)

Hmmm...a tank with pre-made coils that produces vapor similar to the Atlantis. That's a tough one!

I'm sure others will chime in but the first two that come to mind are the Silo Beast and the Eleaf Melo.

I haven't tried either yet, but I've had other Silo tanks in the past and have been really impressed with their build quality.

There's also the Delta II, but I'm pretty sure that one only comes with .5Ω coils.

Yeah, I agree.

SailorNeptune, an RTA will give you a tremendous amount of flexibility in terms of dialing in your perfect vape. There does tend to be a bit of a learning curve though, especially when it comes to wicking.

I'm nervous about taking that next step! Can you guys recommend any information, or instructional videos on the topic? I feel like I'm not ready for building, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to get into some info about it.

There are a lot of great videos on YouTube, which is how I learned.

A lot of people like RipTrippers because he's done how to videos on virtually every type of coil imaginable. He's very informative but frankly, I find him to be very annoying. I've definitely learned a lot from him, though.

VapnFagn has a couple of really good coil tutorial videos for beginners as does Pegasus Vapor Academy. But to be honest, the YouTuber that got me over the "coil building hump" is AbbyVapes. She made some of her early coil building videos as she was just learning how to build herself, which is great because you get to learn along with another beginner. Her early coils weren't all that pretty (sorry Abby! ;) ) and she didn't necessarily use the "proper" tools to get the job done, which made her videos much more accessible to me when I was just starting out. I remember watching her videos and thinking to myself, "if she can do this with some nail clippers and a hex key, then so can I!" ;)

As an alternative, places like Fasttech sell packs of pre-made microcoils in varying resistances. Just buy the resistance you need, throw one into an atomizer, throw some wicking material in there, and you're good to go.

Check out the arctic tank

Rebuilding is only intimidating the first few times. After you get it down you can recoil an atty on your lunch break and still have time for ramen, -

very true...one you build your own coil and get the wicking down, you'll hate yourself for spending so much on coils. at least I did.

I still keep a tank or two with some stock coils around for when I'm being lazy.

Have you tried the other coils for the Atlantis and the Subtank? The Subtank does offer a 1.2 ohm coil and a new 1.5 ohm vertical coil (this new coil is just starting to become available). And the Atlantis (with the introduction of the Atlantis v2) now has a 1 ohm coil.

That's all I use for the Subtank (1.2) and the Mega (1.0.) I realized I wasn't very clear about it so I went back and edited my post. :)

Ah....gotcha. So you want to know what other tanks are out there that you could try that isn't the Atlantis or the Subtank that comes with 1 ohm coils. Maybe you should look at the Horizon Tech Arctic. They have coils available in 0.2, 0.5 and 1.2 ohms. I haven't tried it, but have heard that the Arctic is a pretty popular tank. And the Stratos by Council of Vapor, which uses 0.8 and 1.2 ohm coils. The Silo Beast by Beyond Vape also uses 0.5 and 1.2 ohm coils and it has top fill. There's been a few reviews of the Silo Beast here on this forum.
