I have a Prodigy V3 coming in the mail (will hopefully be here tomorrow) and I ordered two LR attys with it but after reading some posts Im not certain that it would be a good idea to use them with it. Should I use a normal 510 atty with this PV?
Which battery option did you choose? If you went for the 6V option, those LR attys will probably pop on the first draw. I use their HR 510's or the wide bridge DSE 510's from madvapes. Both work great at 6V. If you went with the 3.7 volt option you should be ok, but I can't speak from experience.
6v option. Just noticed that the full 6v kit that Im getting comes with an atty. I will order a few more just so I have some backups but the LR attys that Im getting will go well with my Tornado. Thanks for the info. I would have loaded the LR atty up and blown the thing haha.
Yeah, an LR atty on 6V is doomed from the start. When I got my V3 they sent me a standard resistance atty with it. It comes in at about 2.4Ω and, while it's usable if you're careful, it gets very hot very fast and you need to kind of "pulse" the switch instead of a steady pressure. But at that resistance the juice can lose some of its flavor and get a burnt taste. Stick with 3.2Ω and up for 6V.
