You really can't go wrong if you choose an AW IMR battery. They can be easily found by purchasing from reliable & reputable dealers, but be careful when shopping at Ebay or Amazon, as there are a lot of counterfeit AW batteries to be found there. Most here at ECF will recommend that you purchase your batteries and charger from RTD Vapor, a reputable ECF vendor.

Personally I prefer Energizers. The vaping bunny just keeps going and going and going.........................................:D

This was meant as a joke, correct?

Energizers are the WRONG battery to use in a mod. Those are an alkaline battery, the wrong chemistry battery and will explode.

Use only Li-Mn IMR batteries in a mod.

Personally I use nothing but IMR 30 amp continuous, or higher, batteries. Not only safer, but have more usable power. May not need it, unless you are pushing your gear to the max watt output. Then one will quickly see a benefit of high amp output batteries.

Also, if you decide to go mechanical mod, you already have one of the best batteries to do the job. I use Sony VTC4's, and 35 amp Efest Purples.

I use the sony 30 amp vtc4 at home. very good battery. I use the efest 35 amp for work. one battery last all day. I put one in at 630 am the other day and ended up having to stay late. I didnt get home until 9pm on a mech mod at 1.1 ohm's and stayed good all day. tested the battery on my lavatube just to see how discharged it was. only half discharged. longest running battery I have ever used. for some reason the sony seems to hit harder at first than the efest but it would never run as long.

I own 4 Vamos, wife owns 4 Vamos. In 18650 mode I only use Panasonic NCR18650PF 2900 mah. I own 4 of them and have 6 more due to deliver today. They are 10amp batteries which will provide 2X the max power that a Vamo provide. The main attraction of these batteries for me is the run time they provide. I am a continuous vaper vaping at 5.5 to 6.0 watts getting a full 24 hours of vaping with these batteries. I own Panasonic NCR18650B 3400 mah and Samsung INR18650-20R 2000 mah that offer about 10 hrs operation.
If you are doing a mech with an RBA/RDA the Sony VTC4/5 is an excellent choice, but in a Vamo with a PT (or Puritank in my case) with stock attys the Panny PF is an excellent choice.

We have all seen enough battery mishaps in the news, all from improper use in one form or another, improper charger, improper stacking, improper resistance load, etc.,etc. (key word in "improper")
So take the time to learn how to use whatever battery you choose to use safely. They all have their limits.
Folks keep saying to use AW IMR batteries, well there's a hell of a difference between a 1600mah 18650, and a 2000mah 18650 AW IMR battery, and you had better know what those differences are.

Knowing things like the Efest Purple ratings are the pulse ratings, and not the continuis ratings is kinda important in my book. Pointing out that knowing what the complete data sheets say may be quite different than what gets posted on a battery makers web site.

The key factors that I look at are:
#1 what happens IF something goes wrong? This is why most of us agree that only LiMn chemestry batteries should be used. They will still vent, but no explosions or fire.
#2 how will I be using the battery, and how much safety margine would be prudent? This means that sometimes the largest battery isn't the best choice. The larger the battery, the more energy there is to vent if there is a problem.
#3 how long will the charge last at my vape pace?

When I lay all of these factors out, the AW IMR 18490 1100mAh (16 amp) battery fits my needs best. However another persons needs can make that battery a wrong choice.

    Really??????

    Yes????

Not a great pic, but made a second adapter yesterday and took a pic before wrapping with electrical tape.

The adapter I got doesnt have a 4 volt (it has 4.5 which is too high) option but fortunately the vamo accepts a 7.5 volt option corresponding to stacking 2 18350 batteries.

    Better pic, after wrap:
