I'm looking for a straight up bourbon or a bourbon cream juice....no mixed with almonds or any other flavor just pure bourbon......any suggestions???

I think your best bet would be EC Blend and Slim's. They both have a number of straight liquor juices. I think at EC it would be in their Open Bar juice section.

Yes, they do but I don't know how to do links here. Sorry! Just google EC Blend e juice and Slim's e Juice and the sites will pop right up.

Yeah I looked them up I don't think I'll try them because of the price....every cheap cheap juice has been a letdown. Thanks though

I totally get it. I haven't tried any of the straight liquor juices on either site, but I've been let down by juices at lots of different price points. You'll find that the less expensive juices tend to be the ones that are less complex. I'm not aware of any other straight bourbon juices.

Kentucky Bourbon is a TFA flavoring. I mix with it, and it's a darn good flavor all by itself. Slim's baseline flavor level is 15%, which is more than I'd use in a single-flavor mix, but it's a mild flavoring and won't be a problem with extra. At that level, it'll probably be good-tasting with no steeping required.

The reason you'll not find too many simple bourbon flavors at the vendors is because they're really, really simple. Too simple to provide much differentiation unless you jazz up the recipe.

Good information. That makes sense. Thank you.

Do complex flavors usually require more steeping?

Steeping tends to allow flavors to develop. I flavor lightly, generally 10-15% total (even less with flavorings from FlavourArt and Inawera), because I have quite a few in rotation and they'll be many weeks old before I finish them. They get more potent as they go along. It's cheaper that way too.

A complex mix will evolve a lot over time, as the different flavorings may hit their peak at different times. Mixes with creams, custards, and tobaccos seem to benefit from a longer wait. Periodic shaking and aerating can help.

This is interesting. Thanks for the scoop. I've noticed that the creamy factor in juice tends to take a long time to show up.
