best brand for me?

The first e cig i bought was a my 7's micro one kit about a week ago. A lot of reviews said it is a great brand, but I disagree. I got blueberry, strawberry, and apple cartamizers (sorry if i misspelled). The blueberry was alright I guess, but after puffing away, the flavor gets less strong and began to taste horrible. the apple flavor did not even taste like apple and was gross, and the strawberry was nothing great either. Also I found the vapor is hard to get out. you really have to suck hard on it. I wanted to see if anyone else tried this brand and see what they thought. What other brands should I try? I prefer the ones that look like cigs (not sure what that style is called).

hello jasonh_gamer welcome to ECF

we all liked the "Cig-a-Likes" when we tried to kick the habit
of burning paper-n-plant...

then you quickly realize that they just don't have enuff staying power to satisfy

maybe give something like this a try (dependable, quality @ good price)

then see which direction you wanna go...

good luck, keep asking :)

Jason, probably the biggest part of the problem is that you're using prefilled cartomizers. I, too started out with a cig-a-like. If you want to stay with the small form factor (and short battery life, so get lots of backups to keep charged) at least get something with "blank" (empty) cartomizers that you refill with bottled liquid. If you like the taste of prefilled, they can also be refilled with liquid.

The kit puf mentions above is nice because it's still relatively small (although not as small as the cig-a-likes) but the bigger the battery, the longer it will last, and still inexpensive.

The reason vapor is "hard to get out" is that often the prefilled cartos are high in PG (propylene glycol) content, and PG gives less vapor than VG (vegetable glycerine)----the two main components of these liquids. You can solve this issue by purchasing liquids that have a bit higher VG content such as 50/50 PG/VG or 70/30. Anything higher in PG than that and you'll get significantly less vapor.

Edit: most prefilled cartomizers, at least the ones I tried in the beginning, taste pretty bad. You'll have much better success by refilling, regardless of the device. There is a whole forum area discussing e-liquid and it's very helpful. General E-Liquid Discussion

Hello, and welcome!
What those above have said.

Have you looked at Halo? I used the Halo G6 for awhile, it's a cigalike with cartos you can re-fill. They also have a mini tank which holds about the same as a carto, but makes the juice taste better (IMO). Good quality, but the thing I didn't care for was the case to hold the battery and cartos for "on-the-go", it would not hold an assembled unit. (Cartomizer and battery) I don't know if Halo has changed that or not.

Many people also like the Halo juices, although I didn't care for them. I used Johnson Creek for quite awhile.

Good luck!

Pro smokes is close to the real deal in size and decent vape. I am currently waiting on the E-roll and E-cab to see what they deliver long battery life decent vape guess I have to wait for the delivery ..good luck there are a lot of them out there and you will probably end up with a Provari or Lava tube design for the battery life and varied voltages...

Pro Smoke is what I started with, they worked real well except that I kept getting liquid in my mouth. I liked the PCC (Personal Charging Case), but like Roger said, at some point you'll probably want more options, longer battery life, and not have to keep re-filling your e-cig as often.

Since you are in California there's a good chance that you live within driving distance to a brick and mortar vape shop that has a variety of hardware and maybe even a juice bar where you can try all the flavors and pick a few that tickle your fancy.

Ecig size and vape time are a product of which battery they can hold. A slim ecig is probably going to tie you to a charger due to short charge life. You will want a mod that takes lMR batteries in the 18650 size, maybe smaller. Pre-filled cartridges limit what you can buy and use in the way of juices. Cartos that you fill yourself or a tank will make you much happier with your vape. Those also free you up to pick the juices you like.

Liberty Flights is in San Diego. They are huge in the mail order business. You might also want to look through the thread link below.

Or here. It's a list started by PBusardo and it contains names and addresses of B&M stores all over the country.

thank you everyone for all the great feedback. I have heard of halo. i am just very suspicious of reviews i see on sites now. Every review i saw on the my 7s e cig site said it was an amazing product with amazing flavors for the cartimizers but when i tried them, they were gross. I do not mean any offense to any of you, but i do not want to be a life long vapor. I do not see anything wrong with it, but I just need something to help me quit smoking and that i would use for a couple years.
