I am just starting to get into rebuilding and am looking for some advice. I did my first build a couple days ago on the Subtank Mini rba using the coil it came with (.5 ohms) and am having good results with it. However, I prefer a cooler vape, and the stock coil is running a little hot for me. Also, the flavor is good but not great. The stock coil is 5 wraps, but I'm not sure what gauge the wire is. I'm running it at 10-20 watts, usually right at 15.
So, what kind of coil build can I do to get a cooler vape, and ideally better flavor as well?
I'm been reading a bunch of threads here trying to figure out if I want to go for more wraps, thicker or thinner wire, twisted wire, higher or lower resistance, etc. and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I want to order some Kanthal wire soon, but don't know what gauges to get. I'd really appreciate some specific advice on builds I could do to achieve the right kind of vape for me.
