I started out with a joye510, that I've been using for almost a month. It worked great, now I want something new. I want a similar experience with a good throat hit, and something I can drip with. I don't mind charging batteries frequently. I just want something that lasts, gives me a good nicotine feeling or -fix-. I don't want to have to be constantly cleaning and maintaining its pieces. I also use tobacco flavored juices. What should I get?

I would like to help here, but am not clear on your specific issues.

On third read I see you stated you basicly do not like to fiddle with cleaning etc.

If you do not wish to mess with carts or atomizers then a cartomizer style sounds like what you might want, something like the vapor king or other cartomizer type would be much less fiddling.

You just have a battery, and the cartomizer. charge up the battery, slap on a cartomizer, puff puff till cartomizer is empty, throw cartomizer away ( If you dont want to refill it to save money) and slap on a new one for more puff puffing happiness.

Cartomizers do cost more than carts, but MANY love them and are willing to pay more for the ease of use, and I feel they are still cheaper than analog's.

I hope this is helpfull and you find a device that makes you happy!

I also am considering a new model.
I am stuck between a 901 and 801 on which has the best vape. Using a 510 now waiting on my SB so I wont get conned with the batteries.

I have the 901 and it is perfect all around. Great throat hit, nice cloud of vapor and I can be vaping for 2-3 hrs straight on one battery. I encourage you to try it out.:)

I love the Janty Stick V2 with a 801 atty. The carts hold a huge amount of liquid compared to the 510 and the battery lasts a lot longer.

The stick comes with a passthrough/charger that you can use while surfing the net. It works as a passthrough and charges the battery on your JS at the same time.

The JS is a good for dripping as long as you don't flood it with juice. Mine is a little leaky around the bottom if I use too much. My fault, though. I've dropped it more times than I can count.

Good luck on whatever model you choose

That's a good suggestion. I don't really mind cleaning as long as it's not every day. I've been using a straw mod and am constantly flooding my atty as well as getting juice in my mouth. I may not be doing it right. Also, my manual batteries shut off after like 6-8 seconds, and I still don't get enough vapor/hit to satisfy me. I just need something reliable, consistent, and cost-effective. I've gone back to smoking analogs... like 1-3 a day because I'm not as satisfied with this as I once was, and I've only had it for 3 weeks.

You should try the M201. Great hits, vapor, throat hit and battery life. The appearance is the same as an 801 but the parts are different and of much higher quality. This model actually rebuilt my confidence in the penstyle ecigs.

I am leaning the satisfaction on the juice, I used the blue foam mod with awesome amounts of vape time. Outlasts the batteries.

DITTO! once i started using the blue foam it did outlast all of my batteries so the SB fixed all my issues with the 510,901 and 801!:D now i have some thing that lasts in liquid and battery life, yeah its not as compact as a normal Ecig but i think the compromise is worth it!

I looked at some reviews for the m201, and was led to a site that had about 4 or 5 different versions... M-series. Is the 201 better than the others? what makes them different?

The M201 is bigger than the other Mseries models. Basically, it has a bigger engine than the smaller ones. This penstyle is the best penstyle i've used. Its difficult to say which is better as you may be looking for something different in an ecig. If size is not a concern for you, i'd recommend the M201 for sure.

depends....

want long battery life and want to switch up atomizers? get a modded battery case.

as for the atties, if you want flavor and lots of vapor, the 901, 801, 201 and 401 are tested and true. if you're more about throat hit, 510 or kr808 cartomizers will do - although it's important to mention that the cartomizers put out massive flavor and vapor as well...

I would say 901. The auto battery in it is awesome, and for some reason my attys last forever, I cant say the same about the batteries though. They seem to become disconnected internally too easy. The battery however doesnt turn on from loud sounds or wind. I would also recommend any of the M4xx series. They produce very nice vapor, similar to the 901 and 510 however are the size of a normal cig. The only downside is overly sensitive auto batteries that turn on from loud noise or wind. This can be avoided with the recently released manual battery, that I have yet to try....Personally I'm not big on the 510 as I feel it loses flavour, however my wife chooses it over the 901, where I am the opposite.

I started with a 901 and I was very pleased until the cart filler started sticking to my atty bridge. After I replaced it with the PTB mod it was perfect. I also got an 801 for my second one due to the longer batt and bigger atty. I am waiting on my VP1, it is supposed to arrive today. I will let you know how it compares but all in all, a 901 or 801 is a great unit. Get yourself a manual bat for a few bucks and you can drip to your hearts content with no worry about ruining your batt.

I just got another (upgraded i guess) 510. although, the manual batteries have cutoff after 5 seconds, I'm still working on breaking in the atty. the throat hit is what's most important to me. yeah, I'd like it to taste good too, but I need that satisfaction in my throat and lungs. So from what everyone here is suggesting it sounds like either a 901, m201, or k808. I'll do a lil' more research before I make my decision. I'm also thinking it may be the juice. I'm using 24mg now. Maybe I should look into 36...

Your mom said not to say...
I would say get a KR808D-1 or a GreenCig cartomizer but then it won't be your spare, it will be your go to weapon. The m401 is a good hit with a long lasting battery as well. I have not had the m201 but if it's the same basic engineering and atomizer then it should be a fine choice as well.

I am done jacking around with carts and fillers all the time with the 3 piece models. I wish I had followed my gut when I made my initial purchase and gotten a cartomizer earlier than I did. On the flip side, I have tried a few different models and can speak from experience and not just parrot what others have said.

I have a 510, and I think my next move is going to be for a Chuck. I hear nothing but good things about them, and with the original Chuck (not mini) you have the option of 3.7 that lasts for days, or 5v that lasts all day. If you line up carts for the day, it'd make for easy swapping once you empty a cart. Plus, you can get really cool designs.

Totally --- I feel so lucky to have chosen a 901 for my 1st ECIG... It gives me as much Vapor as I want EVERY hit .... The batteries are a lovely CONSISTENT 3 hours with pretty Heavy Vaping... I am almost a month into Vaping & still on my first attomizer .....

Being the Nerd I am, I still want to buy another model. Simply because I want another toy --- However, I am quite skeptical to what any other model can do better than what the 901 has done for me.

Thanks,
Dan
