there plastic right? i boil my cartos to given a 2nd and 3rd Life, whats the easiest way to clean these? takem apart and just clean filler? Thanks

I've let water run through a few and then blew them out real well. I wouldn't boil them because the tubes are plastic and too thin to be in contact with boiling water.

if you have a sonic cleaner it works a treat on them, just run through twice and let air dry after blowing them out. Assuming a 3 min cycle.

I plan on getting some of these too. To clean them, I plan to use warm distilled water, a small water tight plastic bottle, and very light food grade citric acid powder in my vibratory tumbler. Citric acid is one the ingredients in a lot of beverages, specifically colas and juices and is a natural cleaning agent. Read the ingredients on a packet of non sweetened Kool-Aid mix, it's just citric acid & flavoring. Put the dirty cart in the bottle with the solution and shake it up for a few minutes. It also passivates (protects) metal surfaces against corrosion and can clean burnt substances off.
