Is there any cotton I can get where I don't have to boil it? would this work?

Never, ever boiled. I used cotton balls.

Boiling is a choice. I use organic cotton balls, Rayon cellucotton and cotton bacon. The cotton balls i have did not use chlorine but Hydrogen peroxide to bleach them. If you buy organic unbleached cotton you really should not have to. You can also get Japanese cotton pads which are a bit more expensive. Not bleached, organic, grown in Japan which means it may glow in the dark now, and the fiber all runs in one direction as it does with cotton bacon. BUT if get a good cotton ball and you unreal it which I can do you almost have cotton bacon. OH SAVE YOUR MONEY and do NOT get Ready Wick silica it's not any better than ekowool IMO.

I use the CVS Sterile cotton balls... have yet to boil one and haven't had a problem with them at all...

I buy 100% cotton at Sally's Beauty Supply.
I don't boil it.
If you are boiling it in tap water, bottled water, or well water and using a sterile glass container you are putting more things into the cotton then you are getting out.

I've been using the Sterile Cotton Balls from CVS. They're bleached with hydrogen peroxide but I've never boiled them and never had a funny taste. I'd say they're good to go out of the box.

I use oragnic cotton from walgreens never once boiled mine.

I highly recommend japanese organic cotton pads. definitely worth seeking out. my favorite wicking material after trying silica, organic cotton balls, and rayon. until something better is discovered, I will be using these.

Using Maxim Organic Cotton balls, never once had to boil them either..no weird taste etc.

Have used both regular cotton balls and sterile. Prefer the latter, by far. Other than that, well, as Phil Busardo put it, "I never boiled a cigarette before I smoked it."

And hydrogen peroxide can't leave anything more toxic than oxygen and water behind. Now some people do flip out about dihydrogen monoxide, but if you do, there's really no help anyone here can give you.

Im currently re-building with Cellucotton(rayon) and I like it so far, the taste to me is very clean even compared to stock Kanger and Aspire wicks. Im also using it as it is without boiling.

As Im learning wicks right now, 1 thing I can answer: Im using those CVS Sterile cotton balls boiled once and dried ( just for the heck of it) and it taste great and is lasting tons longer then the local vape shops brand cotton they gave me a free sample of. If that helps any lol.

I switch off between Ko Gen Do, Japanese cotton pads and Rayon, or cellucotton. Both are exceptional. I dont boil either product. I'm fixing to set one atty up with RxW again. I used it before and it was good, but I though KGD was much better. I just like changing things up from time to time though.

Organic cotton I never boiled. 100% cotton I did only because you did get an "off" taste from the chemicals they used to bleach it and clean it.

Cellulose Cotton (Rayon) doesn't hold liquid, so the chemicals used to clean it during manufacturing are almost all recaptured. So no need to boil it, you might get an "odd" taste on the first two pulls, but then it's just a clean taste.
