Best eGo battery?

Today I had a batt go Hot in my hand. I own 4 Rivas. At 5+ mths, ready to trade them in.

Is there a better quality eGo batt out there?

Personally, I dont think so, Rivas rock, If you give them up, let me know!!!

E Power gets good reviews, its battery is pull out rechargeable. It should be just as warm as the Riva. Egos do not get the same voltage Rivas do, and neither do most knock offs.

Have you tried the Riva Special Edition yet? VERY nice. Higher voltage than regular Rivas.
Keep in mind ANY battery can go bad and get warm/burn. Some are worse than others.

I have 4 ego's 650mah (1 set a yr old / 1 set 3 months old) and 2 (1month old) kgo 1100mah. None of them have ever got hot and its always close to 100 degs here in Texas ! Before I bought the kgo I was thinking about buying a Riva SE 1100 but I went with the kgo even though ive heard good things on the Riva.

If any of mine get warm its usually the atty or carto going out and drawing too many amps.

Same as Dubs58 here, you sure it was the batt that got hot r77r7r? If so, I would say stop using that battery. An unregulated reaction in a battery like that is a bad thing, that's what causes all those "exploding" cel phone and laptop vids on youtube.

Might want to let the vendor know so he could raise a flag with the OEM. The last thing we need is an "exploding ecig" video on youtube. That will give the money powers all the fuel they need to get their lackeys to start banning our PVs. I can see Channel News Asia running the video on packages 24/7. That would suck.

I've always used JoyE without any problems. They lasted me 14 months before require replacing and where replaced with JoyE

Yeah, I unscrewed the carto right away and it stayed very, very hot. Hot from bottom to top for a couple of minutes until I got it in a bag and outside.

I guess I got over it because last night I ordered 2 Riva SE's. I'd feel more comfy tho if they'd put a vent in them.

I've never used anything other than the original Joye/Janty eGo and been very happy with the quality. Never had any reason to try any of the other knock offs. Just my opinion.
