Best equipment? Tanks & battery

I have been vaping a few months and with taxes coming soon I think I am ready to spend some real cash and get some high quality equipment. Right now I have an eGo C Twist vv 900 and a Vision spinner vv 1100. I mainly use ProTanks which work fine, but I sometimes use these cheap clearomizers from my local b&m shop that look just like an eVod but generally taste like CRAP. It all does the job, but I know I can get much better performance from other things.

For tanks......I definitely want a tank. I am on the go a lot so dripping would not be my thing. My budget is around $300. I would like to have a battery that is guaranteed to last all day, or 2 batteries that I can rotate. I would like something that is going to last quite a long time that gives good, consistent vapes. I am thinking about a Provari, but I would like some input. Of course, something that is VV. I am not overly concerned about VW, unless I should be lol.

As for tanks, the main thing is something that just taste good and produces good flavor. I am a big fan of cleaning and dry burning every few days but if the quality of the product is up to par then it is worth it. Nothing TOO complicated either. Just fill it up and go, clean when necessary.

Let's just pretend that money is not an option. I want the best of the best. Thanks!

If your preference is for tube mods, I don't think you'd regret a Provari. I know you're not concerned about VW, but the Svoemesto Semovar seems to be well thought of, so far, but I don't have any personal experience with that one yet.

In my opinion, as far as "factory" tanks go, I'm really impressed with the Aspire Nautilus. I really liked their previous BDC tanks, but wanted something similar with a glass tank. The combination of the bottom dual-coil and the adjustable air flow really make these a winner in my book.

For tanks, I would try a carto tank, and see what you think. Easy to use, better flavor and vapor then the ProTank types. They're relatively cheap, too, a good tank is $10-20, cartos are $2 each.

The next step up from that is rebuildables, like a Kayfun or Genesis style, which cost more, but from all reports is better vapor and flavor, according to what coil you build. A lot more investment money wise, plus some minor cost to get set up with some wick, some cotton and mesh, and assorted screwdrivers and such, and an Ohm meter.

Personally, for the best mod I would go with a Provari. It will last you a very long time (years). Possibly get the extension cap to fit the 18650 battery for the longest battery life (a day and a half for me) and a couple of those batteries. IBTanked! makes great cartotanks which are just fill and go and last a couple of weeks (other than refilling). You might check out Baditude's blog on the Provari and IBTanked! tanks too. They are really helpful. Just my two cents worth. Good luck!

I have one of the first ProVaris that I use daily and it still works like new and has never given me any problems. Not a bad investment. Carto tanks and ProTanks are a good place to start on the tank front. To use a protank on a Provari I'd recommend you get a Kanger air valve base to put on it, they can be so tight as to be useless otherwise. The Hcigar Kayfun clone is an excellent rebuild able tank if you want to make the tinkering commitment to building coils.

Strange, I just answered this EXACT same question -same budget, same desire for a Provari, same non-interest in rda/rbas for the same reason - in another thread from someone else ...things that make you go "hmmm..."

I'll tell you what I told the other person: MPV2 with an Aspire Nautilus BDC. You can spend the money on the Provari/batteries/charger if you want, but you don't need to.

I agree the MVP2 is a solid device at a great price. The battery will last all day easily for a heavy vaper, longer for other. Also the Nautilus has gotten great reviews and seems to be a solid performer. I would like to get one for my MVP. Then I think I'd be content. Although I do REALLY want an IBTanked too.

I have NOTHING against the MVP2. I own one, and I think it's great. Very solid, great threads on the 510 connection, it's a workhorse. The only POTENTIAL drawback is the non-replaceable battery.

Now, mind you, I'm a light vaper, so I only charge mine every other day when it's in use. Given the standard of 300 charge cycles, I should get at least a year and a half out of it, but I've read of some heavier vapers that have to charge theirs once or twice a day.

On a $300 budget for one setup, I'd get:

1a) A Russian 91% (Just $100 shipped), or
1b) An IBTanked tank and a Sophia carto-shaped RBA.

2) A Protovapor (Just under $200 shipped).

On a $300 budget for two setups,

1a) Two Kanger Aerotanks, or
1b) Two IBTanked tanks and some cartos.

2) Two MVPs

Both "mods" have huge battery capacity, both can be re-charged on the fly using any micro-USB cable.
