I'm sure this gets asked thousands of times, but I couldn't find it being asked too many times.

I've mostly been smoking cheap light analogs (Pall Mall Lights for the past 6 months, $3.50 a pack!), and randomly thought about ecigs again (heard about them years ago).

Was originally turned onto myLuci, did some research, very new site. Then found out about Blu, was very impressed by the site and prices, but apparently the model (L88) is ****, so I decided to skip that one.

The model I've decided on so far is the M-40x (buying the 401 and getting a 402 (and maybe 403) battery). I really want something automatic until I feel comfortable enough with going manual.

Anything else I should look at? Where is the cheapest place to get an M401? And fluid? I've been looking at LiteCigUSA, since the owner posts on these forums a lot.

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance and reliability and frustration level.

The 401 is sound activated which will go off and drain your battery without you even knowing it. If you get any liquid in the battery area (which you will), it will gum up the auto switch.

Unless you like frustration, get a manual switch PV like most of us have. Since you are new, I won't point you towards the premiere PV's. Instead, I would suggest you consider either the Joye 510 or the MANUAL (not auto/regular) DSE901. These good suppliers have them:

Don't buy Blu unless you want to wait a month for your order.

e-cig liquid and electronic cigarette supplies / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette e-liquid shop
Really really good e-liquid NOT all e-liquid is the same...
Another good place to order from.

Also Nhaler

He has lots of specals on here, and normaly gives extras with your order. VERY cool guy!

I would start off with a 510.

Note: Ordering from China you always run the risk of it getting stopped by customs.

Is also a good place to order from. He offers different colors in LED that you really can't find in other places. My order with him was lost in the mail. I ordered just one battery at the time. When he shipped it again he sent an Extra Battery for the wait time I went threw. EVEN tho it was not his fault.

Manual batts are coming for the m40X . So are pcc's . I love my m401 but the battery life and autoswitch is a bummer (mine is not sound activated, only the evo's i believe), hopefully these will make the m40x a contender. I think truesmoker is getting these. Still won't compare to a m201 though.

Individual orders from China are sometimes passed through customs which might add a day to deliver. But there have never been a report of any confiscation of an individual order. Many of us order from suppliers in China due to the better prices on a regular basis with no problems. All of the US suppliers get their supplies to some degree from China.

Can't speak for the 401 or 402 (haven't tried them) but I agree that the 901 or 510 is a great starter style. I especially like my 510 for the easy draw, good throat hit and nice clouds :) One drawback to it is that it doesn't go as long as some others before the battery dies, but all models have their pros and cons. Overall though I'm pleased with both of these.

There is a coupon you can use for Healthcabin.net. I just ordered my 510 from there and the customer service is great. I think I should have the 510 by end of this week or early next week.

And how come no one recommends the RN4081 Super Ecig for beginners? It is my first auto ecig I used and only one I ever used and I will tell you that it is not sound activated, the atomizer is known to be a work horse, and the vapor is not half bad at all. You will get a nice throat hit.

If you want an automatic that is 100mm (16mm bigger than the Blu) and is not crap like the Blu, get the RN4081.

Get some juice and drip it in the cart and enjoy. YouTube videos on it, you will see the vapor on that thing is great. It's just not ..... popular I guess?

It's cheap too.

Edit: I went ahead and got the link for you.

DO NOT GET ANY AUTO SWITCH PV, PERIOD. The only exception is if you only hit it once an hour, then it might work for you. The premiere PV's are the following: They cost more initially but pay for themselves due to the $2 battery cost:

The Big Seven in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:

Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette e-liquid shop
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: THE GG
JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi:Personal Vaporizers : Hardass Vapor Shop
Super T: Super T, Innovative manufacturer of Personal Vaporizer products.
AdapteverR: AdapteveR Home of the ORIGINAL USA built PV : Home
